Isnt it IRONIC reguarding Cows and the Gears of War franchise being milked......

In the last SEVEN years, there has been.......

But only ONE of these franchises is "milked" and "rehashed" :roll:

Add to that the fact that the Gears of War franchise is finished, while Naughty Dog has CONFIRMED they are working on more uncharteds, and that they will continue making them as long as people buy them. (aka, they will likely come out every 2 years in yearly rotation)

Even more Ironically, not a single person is even talking/cares about Gears of War: Judgement, while cows would be masturbating over the next Uncharted right now had NaughtyDog showed it at the PS4 event.  :D

I have to say reading StrongDeadlift's threads a becoming a guilty pleasure.  I know I shouldn't laugh, it's essentially the same joke every thread.

But I always do.

Uhh, the cows don't claim that Gears is being milked so much as it is just a shining example of exactly how pathetic and anemic that actual exclusives are on the XBox 360..  See also: Gears of War going to PC and then the rest of the series being halted on said platform.

halo 4   thats 7 halos   vs 5 uncharteds but all 7 halos are on one platform not 2

If all you care about are visuals and set pieces then U3 wins. But overall it's the worst in the series. It was a massive let down. Poor story, bad pacing, dull and unevolved characters, set pieces for the sake of set pieces and not nearly as whimsical and quirky as it thinks it is.

GeoW2 was awful, worse than Uncharted:GA.

Judgment's MP looks great but I'm no longer interested in the series.

Uncharted has better games that's all that matter's at the end of the day. I mean UC2 did domiante all the GOTY awards back in 2010.

The thread is not system vs system.  It is a DIRECT comparison between the Gears franchise, and the Uncharted franchise.

Furthermore, I am not the one making the accusation of either one of them being milked, so it is not my responsibility to provide the sample.  I am the one CHALLENGING the accusation that one of them (Gears of War) is being milked, and applying the same criteria to Uncharted.

The story is more or less the same as Ucharted 2, so I dont get the problem people that loved U2 had with Unharted 3 other tha "being the same". Bad pacing? I disagree. Besides the first couple of levels it actually was the most well paced game in the series imo. Characters? Again, I dont see the problem people had with U3 characters when they were pretty much the same as U2, besides the main villain that was definitely more charismatic in U2...

And now I tell you guys why U3 is my fav in the series

1. More and better puzzles. U1 and U2 puzzles were p*ss easy, while U3 puzzles made me scratch my head a couple of times. And the fact that they were actually clever this time around imo

2. More platforming/traversal sections than shooting sections. For someone that is tired of shooters as I am, that was a big plus for me

3. Improved melee combat that was actually fun to experiment with this time around.

4. The best set pieces in the series. The boat part is among the most jaw-droping levels this whole gen for me

so no, its not only because of set pieces and visuals

and if MS had a handheld they'd obviously make Gears for that as well. Your point? You sher are reaching. Dont you have anything else better to do with your life than make these pointless threads? like others have mentioned, nobody was even talking about gears being milked. any successul franchise will obviosuly produce multiple games if they keep seelling. if you want to talk about a series thats milked, look at Madden, mario etc.

TBH, i'm still looking for a strict definition of milking. Is it one a year? Two a year? Three a year? More?

One every 2 years? One every 1.5 years?
