And I am 38 and I don't play Zelda. We all grow up at a different pace.

After I turned 12 I ceased to care about Nintendo, I like playing games that aren't designed for little kids. I will do the same thing I have done the last couple console generations and get the new xbox. Then I will look at other consoles, I had all three this generation, PS3, 360, Wii, but the Wii and PS3 were basically expensive paperweights until I sold them.

Hey, I don't care if you don't play Nintendo games, I have no right to tell you what to play, but just pick a better reason than I don't want to play a game designed for little kids.(Espescially when some Nintendo games are clearly not designed for kids ex. Fire Emblem) Isn't it easier to just say I don't like Nintendo games, why bother saying it is because they look kiddy, because that makes you seem insecure and with someone with conformity in their sig, you would think they would care less about what society thinks of you for playing a certain game and just play what they enjoy. For example Ni No Kuni looks childish, but it is one of the best games I've played in awhile. Don't judge a book by its cover.

He is secure about his reasoning. That's the only thing that made it seem less like an issue to me.

If you are going to say that you don't like something just because its kiddy looking you better say its your own taste or that you know what you like. There is a difference between confirming your feelings about something than just blindly or willingly saying that its kiddy and everyone who plays them hasn't grown to your standards.

I don't mind someone not liking what I like, I don't like a bunch of things, I just am looking for better reasoning that it's childish, so I don't play it. Saying it's not his taste is a great reason, I also don't think he gave Nintendo a chance, if he is 35, he was 7 when the NES released, and he ceased caring before the SNES which had some of the best Nintendo games.

[QUOTE="Cranler"] If the quality of the graphics increases the cost so much then why is Shenmue one of the highest budget games of all time? Why did Halo 3 have a higher budget than Crysis? Theirs so many other factors involved than just graphics quality. Cutscenes, voice acting, music, scripting. Look at the GTA 4 mods. GTA 4 had bad graphics even for 2007 yet modders in their spare time transformed it into a game that looked like it was from the future. ChubbyGuy40

...Shenmue was pretty damn advanced for its time. Halo 3, at the time, was new tech. That costed, but obviously most went to marketing. Crysis was an exclusive on PC, so costs were naturally much lower. Sony has spent a great deal of money for the engines that power the God of War games and whatever Naughty Dog has crafted. That stuff is NOT cheap.

GTA4 modded is only good for screenshots. It has many flaws, not to mention still runs like sh!t for nearly everyone.

Shenmue being advanced for its time means nothing when you consider how outdated it is now. Halo 3 budget was $55 million before marketing. Halo 3 was Halo 2 engine with better textures and hdr. Crysis was a gigantic upgrade from Far Cry and cost $22 million. If modders could do that to GTA 4 in their spare time imagine what an organized team can do with the right hardware. Runs bad because GTA 4 isnt optimized to begin with.
