Even if a price cut comes for the PS3, Microsoft can easily counter that with the Arcade model being at $150, & the 60 GB model being at $250.

no it can't a microsoft price cut won't do anything microsoft is already cheap as is.

not really I am satisfied $400 for the best system and best games this gen is a steal.

I think one of the big problems with the ps3 is the low attach rate. Too many people bought it as a blu-ray player first and a gaming console second which translates into low software sales.

What Sony needs to do is sell the Gunmetal MGS4 pack for $350. I cannot believe they made that version limited when it is so much better looking.

Not too worried about a price cut, I just bought the fatty PS3. I mentioned this in another topic, but Im can appreciate what he PS3 has to offer now, but 100% glad I did not choose the system as my primary system. Its nice, but not quite everything I need to satisfy my gaming needs.

2. Logo changed from PLAYSTATION 3 to PS3 which is logical, not proof for/against though
3. Packaging image is not shopped (though the pack itself might be custom made)
4. IBM have had the 45nm Cell in production (since mid 2008 I believe?), we all know the story about the general downsizing of PS3 components and lower power needs
5. Sony shipped 10m PS3's in fiscal year 07 and 08 each, they are now saying 13m for 09.
6. Maintek Computer located in Suzhou, China, manufactures PS3s. They brought down the thread (Chinese) that was hosting these images with cease and desist.
7. Identical box art and font to the newly revealed PSP GO.

Let's all wait for Sony to announce the price cut shall we?

1. Ugly as crap.
2. Illogical when you consider the "Spider-Man" fonted PlayStation 3 seen on the original. Change your logo too radically and people lose you.
3. Not shopped but could still have been faked from scratch. Think "War of the Worlds" level of fakery.
4. Then why didn't Sony reveal it at E3 when hype would've been highest?
5. Says nothing about whether it be old or new.
6. I could've swotn the guys themselves admitted it was an elaborate hoax.
7. See #2. Box art is supposed to differ, so as to differentiate them. Otherwise, why didn't they use PS3 from the outset?

Finally! I cant wait to get a PS3. Even though Sony will probably lose money i dont care, all i want is a cheaper PS3. Maybe $350 with GTA 5 is a good deal to me.

i was searching on ebay thinking that i would find a used PS3 for around $200 (i can buy a used 360 for $100 on ebay) but the cheapest was around $370... Thats ridiculous for a 2 year old console.
