Okay, I don't know why anyone bothers comparing anything to Heavy Rain, it's a totally unique game beyond comparison. You can't compare gameplay.

Sales will probably in fact be higher for Alan Wake, but the graphics are nowhere near HR. And even if they were they're still beaten by about 10 other console games. Itdoesn't look that good, I feel like I'm the only person who sees that.

looks good but lets wait to see more game play . screen shots can be VERY misleading .

I don't know how anyone with either system could miss either, honestly. Heavy Rain was just incredibly amazing. The music, the emotional impact, etc. And Alan Wake looks to be another psychological thriller of the same magnitude. It plays differently, however. And, of course, much like Quantic Dream, you can trust the fine folks at Remedy.

I highly doubt any game will come close to majority of Heavy Rain visuals. Some of the environmental textures and background attention to details are almost photo-realistic.

You should know this if you played the full game.

Not to say that Heavy Rain is bad. But it is a one trick pony. Very linear just follow narrow path and go.

Alan wake on the other hand. Will be much more open world feeling. And you can even drive and get around this way. And the graphics are going to blow Heavy Rain out of the water and again a far more open world to explore.

Game play wise this is a no brainer you will be able to do far more game play moves with the player Alan Wake.

All in all it is clear Alan Wake is going to win this battle.

ALso, Heavy Rain is prettier then Alan Wake from what I've seen. I have no doubt that AW will be the better game though. HR was just boring.

Alan Wake is probably not going to sell good it might sell ok it's no halo or gears it's an unknown ip just look at Banjo sales and chances are it's going to pc eventually so it will become obsolete just like Mass Effect 2 and Left 4 Dead.

I'm not sure if people can even compare the two in terms of gameplay because they are very different. I really don't have many games to compare HR to but it seems Alan Wake is somewhat similar to Silent Hill, but bigger.

You can say that about a lot of games that are exclusive to consoles. Doesn't mean they should all be on PC.
