[QUOTE="PoppaGamer"][QUOTE="nmaharg"] My facts > Your opinion. Again I didn't make the rules, I just follow them. FACT - By SW logic PS3 is last not only in sales, but games as well. nmahargI gave you facts. Wii is selling because it has the most widespread, casual appeal. Just like the PS2 did. FACT. The majority of 360's sales lead over the PS3 is due the year lead. And then the otehr portion is due to 360 being able to get to a lower price point sooner, which also has to do with the year lead. FACT. 360 has more games. But there is a TON of shovelware on that list. Not to mention, the strongest 360 years were the first couple. Games that are now 2 year old or older. You wanna tell me the early 360 titles didn't have an easier time getting better scores with no other competition? You wanna tell me how the 360 stacks up on titles for 2009 compared to the PS3? And, YOU ARE MAKING THE RULES. "Look at this list of games but ignore their age, when they were reviewed, their score, etc." "Look at these sales numbers but ignore when systems were released, ignore the price, and ignore whose buying them." "Just look at the numbers and forget about the context or the quality." I'm making no rules. You're attempting to though. All I am doing is asking to open your eyes to reality. Which appears to be too much for you. You sit and study sheets of figures and numbers (without any sort of context) and I will play great games on my PS3.

PWNED! Hehe, I'm a little curious why the TC hasn't come back to talk about that. It's really quite telling! :P Now whos going to run from the post I wonder?[QUOTE="MegajerkNYC"][QUOTE="jonnyt61"]
Oh... Really? I have a link here to a post that states you sold your PS3 two days ago. How on earth did you get it back?
Honestly, it's quite strange really, you constantly bash the PS3, and then you sell something you apparently own, then you bash it again, and claim you still own one...
Think you should just give up while you're ahead.

It's obvious PS3 has better games the last good game for 360 AAAE was Gears 2 and that was last year not to mention that's also going multiplat
PS3 already beat the 360 in AAAAE and AAAE and with games like ninja gaiden 2 going multiplat it's beating the AAE category
it's kinda sad to see 360's once mighty game library diminish
face it just this year alone PS3 got inFAMOUS and Killzone which is better than 360's entire library and the 360 still got the rrod, paying for online, flopping games.
I dont know how anyone can say cboc 360 is winning.

Yeah , since you brought those undoubtly arguments , I can't even argue in the same level , you win , xbox wins , flawless victory
I remember the days where fanboys would actually come up with good arguments , then it was just arguments , then poor arguments , now no arguments at all.

A rank games dont really matter. o_O; They're just "good." Average. 70%. A C grade.
That leaves us with a library that has 4 less AAs, and no AAAA.
Sorry, PS3 wins.
Who says they don't matter? You? go get more than 10 hours of FUN out of an A game, i dare you. that's why they matter.[QUOTE="Sir_Lawl"]
You just can't convince these PS3 fanboys that their overpriced console is in last place in both sales and games.
360>>>>>>>>>>>>PS3 in both sales and games.

No, with Halo 3 and Gears of War, the best console shooters that the PS3 can never receive or replicate.

Gamers like myself can play all 4 games and enjoy all 4 games. Fanboys like yourself cling to one thing due to some unknown insecurities and miss out on very cool things because of some irrational mental block.
I still don't understand how people are saying PS3 is losing so bad in both sales and games. In games, it I think the PS3 has been picking up tons of momentum lately, especially with AAA exclusives like KZ2 and Infamous coming out in the last few months and another batch of what should be high quality exclusives coming toward the end of the year.
As for sales, the last numbers I saw (correct me if I'm wrong) were 22 million PS3's sold worldwide to 28 million 360s worldwide. If my math is right that breaks down to 7 million 360s per year and just over 7 million PS3s sold per year. So are we saying that because the PS3 hasn't caught up and passed the console that came out a year before it, it's losing? I mean, I know the Wii did it but it's got a much more affordable price point and I feel is marketed toward a different demographic than the PS3 and 360.
Don't get me wrong, I love both consoles. I bought a PS3 a four months ago but, luckily, I didn't have to make a choice between the PS3 and 360 (the Wii doesn't really do it for me) because my roommate has a 360. I love Gears and still think Halo is one of the best console franchises ever, but I think they're starting to get a little old and Microsoft isn't showing much else to take their place (Alan Wake looks awesome, but I'll probably play it on PC).
Sales are incomrapeable to a better console. A console might be hundreds of pounds but you get what you pay for. Given the reccession, some players like my friends I know myself wish they could get Playstation 3's but they just can't afford them.
Let's be honest, well in my opinion the Wii is the most friendly family console and that's what gives it sales along with it's price. The PS3 has better media and other stuff but the price tag is what lets it down.
The PS3 maybe losing but you cannot say it's the worst console because of its sales.
[QUOTE="killab2oo5"]Was the search button not working for you? :| There's a plenty of threads on the PS3 being doomed...saw 2 others on page 1.nmahargPS3 isn't doomed. It's just in last place. I agree. Someone has to be in last place. Sony is there this time. The PS3 is still a great console.

Omg, those are SUCH amazing numbers.
Ps3 has
2 AAAA
10 AAA
45 AA
Pc has
18AAA
83 AA
Xbox 360:
1 AAAA
15AAA
74 AA
Lolwii has
6AAA
24AA.
You can CLEARLY see whos dead last.
Hasn't the PS3 already had two "inevitable price drops"? What makes you think a third will have such a radically different outcome? The way I see it is ps3 has been staying afloat, matching yearly sales with xbox since its arrival a year after. Once that inevitable price drop comes, the ps3 will overtake the 360 in console sales in 2 years time. Or at least match it.

[QUOTE="BlancoBX"]Hasn't the PS3 already had two "inevitable price drops"? What makes you think a third will have such a radically different outcome? If the 3rd price cut brings it to $299, a consumer will probably see that as very acceptable price. It will help even more is Sony markets this new low price while actually gloating what it offers (great games, a blu-ray player, FREE online, built in wi-fi, and more) for only $299. The Xbox 360 would have to have a price cut to $200 to offset that. $250 won't cut it if a consumer wanted the regular version (not arcade) is choosing between this and the ps3, when the ps3 is only $50 more with extra features and free online. The way I see it is ps3 has been staying afloat, matching yearly sales with xbox since its arrival a year after. You guys just don't get it! It's not how many AAAA, AAA, AA games a console has. It's all about the single A rank games! Wii has more, so i'ts better.
Oh and multiplats don't count, of course.

We'll see, but I'm much more pessimisitic on it's prospects. For one, the 360 will still be at $200 - a full $100 less than the PS3. For another, $300 has traditionally been too high a price point for mass market adoption. For a third, the Wii is garnering most of the casual purchases which has traditionally been Sony's bread and butter market (at least for those looking at the 120 million + userbase). I just don't see PS3 sales shooting through the roof at that price point.Sales are irrelevant. Completely..... Nope, not even slightly fun to play sales.clembo1990lol....its like trying to say....more ppl bought hondas then ferraris......so honda must be a better car.......lol....no.....

I agree. It seems the $2## price range is a sweet spot for console sales; Hence the Wii selling well at $249. Evidently MS feels the 360 isn't worth much priced at $199. Basically, it takes the 360 to be at $199 just to keep its sales up. That's pathetic if you ask me.The way I see it is ps3 has been staying afloat, matching yearly sales with xbox since its arrival a year after.
