It's pretty clear the PS3 is losing.

Just as long I can still have fun playing games and watching blu ray movies on the last place console I'm fine with it.

same can be said about both the ps1 and ps2 in their time ,, face palm ,,

and ps3 is selling slower then xbox 1 in the same time frame ,,

wii is the fastest selling console in the same time frame as ps2 ,

The "battle" is waged on a number of fronts: sales, graphics, recent exclusives, upcoming exclusives, online, overall library. The problem with all the fronts besides "sales" and to a certain extent "online",is that they are very subjective fronts (graphics being the most blatantly subjective and therefore criteria of all). Still, I'd say:

SALES: Wii.

GRAPHICS: PS3 wins slightly over the 360.

RECENT EXCLUSIVES: PS3 wins easily over the 360.

UPCOMING EXCLUSIVES: Pretty even. Maybe PS3 by a hair.

ONLINE: 360 still wins by a very considerable margin.

OVERALL LIBRARY: 360's library wins slightly, mostly due to being larger and more genre-balanced. The PS3 is not far behind. The Wii is the weakest in this category IMO.

In the real world, however, there's no question that the PS3 is losing.

It doesn't matter at all in that respect. Of course people shouldn't make their purchases based on that criteria. I certainly didn't.

What I'm saying that in this little System Wars game, sales is one of the major fronts on which the participants make war.

Yes, but to only use exclusives when comparing two libraries is foolish. It would make sense if this was a topic on exclusive lineups, although the PS3 would still be winning. But this is supposed to be a topic comparing the lineups as a whole. And of course, sales are also another battle. But its important to distinguish battles from each other.

ps3 of course in last due to high pricing lol * hope that price drops to 300 lol*

but as fars games ps3 has alot of quality exclusives ALOT so there exclusives are solid if u dont own a ps3 or is a fanboy of 360 iam sure u havent rlly bothered to check them out . plus sonys releasing 35 exclusives i here i say bout 20 of those will be sweet aaa's . and most of 360 games are third party games thats on ps3 and wii dude .

360 and PS3 share the bulk of their libraries so it doesn't really make sense to say that the 360's library is mostly garbage.

What if I was to dismiss that PS3 has better games since that is nothing more than your opinion? That would make more sense than you dismissing sales on the basis of not being able to play them.

Sales and games are both things thatare discussed here and sales is a legitimate way of gauging which console is "winning" (it's actually a superior criterion as the other ones are more or less subjective). That might hurt your fanboy heart (since your favorite console is last in sales), but you're just going to have to deal with it.

People buy consoles for the exclusives they prefer. So they defend what they do have rather than what they don't.

I own an xbox but admittedly i hardly ever play it because i refuse to shell out 100 dollars for a wireless adapter, and my modem is upstairs and the videogames are relegated to the basement. I dont see how anyone can just blindly follow microsoft on anything and everything they do. They willingly and knowingly put out a product that is almost certain to break down after awhile. I dont see how xbox owners cannot be pissed at that fact, but still they come to system wars and bash on everything that doesnt have a microsoft logo on it. Its one thing to play your xbox and still enjoy it because of the games and what not but dont tote it and microsoft like they are the best thing since sliced bread. They obviously dont give a flying f*ck about you fanboys so why should you waste your time singing their praises? doesn't make much sense.

As for quality games. Thats completely subjective. The scores on this site is subjective.

As for me i love my 360's librar. Hell, i havent even played all of its library yet. Why are people saying that 2009 is a bad year for 360??????

I already played Ninja blade, velvet assassin and Battlestations pacific. Really fun games. And yet, cows play the "scores" arguement. I've had more fun with games that were given a low score on this site than high ranking one's. (haze, folklore are better than LBP, Uncharted.... imo) So why shouldnt these games count?

360/PC lineup looks very promising, as well as PS3 (GOW3 OMG)
