I've only ever seen him hate on Nintendo so it's interesting to see him hate on MS a little too.
Huh he actually has a positive video on Nintendo too. Maybe he's changing? I do like that he is well-spoken and dares to have an opinion. It's just that he tends to take an initial stance with something, which he then holds on to even if the world around him shoots it to pieces. I wonder if that has changed as well.

Yeah, you'll have to excuse me as I simply make the same point I've been making on this forum since the XBox fanbase got mesmerized by the Milo demo and thought they just found the Infinity Gauntlet to rule gaming til the end of days. Don't mind me at all.
It's the games. It has always been the games. It will never not be about the games.
He brings up some good points but other areas he’s full of crap. Making Minecraft exclusive to Xbox, PC, and phones would be wildly idiotic. It would cut off a huge portion of the fanbase and destroy a lot of MS goodwill while losing money for them. Also, he seems to think MS can buy themselves out of this hole they are in by trying to buy off 3rd party studios or making them go full Xbox exclusivity, something that would be too expensive at this point in the gen.
The only thing MS should do that will help them is to create new studios not buy them since buying them tends to make of the talent leave (see Rare), and they should also invest in the studios they already have and grow the talent. It will take a lot of time and effort to do so but it would be beneficial to Xbox in the long run as opposed to buying 3rd party deals.

Good exclusive is hard to find on Xbox One. If you don't have exclusive games, the console is useless and look at PS4 & Switch, they have variety of exclusive games.
So yeah, they can't find any reasons to buy Xbox One console.

Yea the “wait for E3” excuse is becoming a meme right now. It’s been almost 5 years since the Xbone launched and we’ve been waiting for E3 every year.

I will actually be cheering MS at E3 this year. Their position in the console market has become pathetic. - They're the ones responsible for destroying the indie scene on the HD consoles. When Playstation had indies swinging their way, they went above and beyond to devalue them to the point where they became an item of scorn. Now look what's happening, Xbox is having to lean on indies again to add to their game lineup.
- They were so asshurt by resolution talk, that instead of games, MS gave them another $500 console to buy in a mere four years. They're practically being pushed to buy it now.
- They pushed the "Delaystation" narrative way too hard. to the point that they're forever eating crow for major game cancellations and delays of their own to where it's become a running joke for Xbox.
- Xbox fans claiming the power of the cloud would push Xbox graphics past PC.
- Trying to convince people that 4K UHD movies are needed for a game console.
- Convincing themselves its okay to be sold early access games because MS hypes them. Convincing themselves game cancellations are good. Convincing themselves that it's better to get play last gen games and being sold controllers and multiple hardware revisions over getting new games.
- They made a god-king out of Phil Spencer, a damn exec. A move that's not only bizarre, but the man seems to be the death of the console.
- Never realizing, they truly have no exclusives.
- Buying into MS's PR and dumb metrics and responding with, "IT"S SELLING FINE!!"
Something has got to change with Xbox management, because this is NOT working. Nah I'm not even an Xbox gamer, I prefer Nintendo, but also would like to see all consoles doing well rather than constantly kicking one when it's down.
Outside of exclusives, Microsoft have actually been doing some really cool stuff with services and backwards compatibility, something which Nintendo and Sony have not. Obviously they are still miles behind Sony when it comes to the gaming library though, so I believe this year's e3 stands out as the most crucial for the Xbox brand, more so than any of the previous ones since they have such a lot of ground to try and make up.
I'd not be surprised to see them announce quite a few new IP's and sequels, in order to try and end this generation on a high note.

Only you would see all these as positives. These are all actions that have moved the needle for them in no fashion. and why should they? When there's people like you who'll defend every action they make. And look, you haven't had a significant AAA release since two thousand freakin sixteen. That's some bullshit. this management is garbage. Too busy with the smoke and mirrors over giving you a decent first party release... that's not a racing game at least.
@daredevils2k: The real achilles heel in his argument is that it not only takea time, it takes studios. It takes hiring manpower. It takes IP. The inescapable fact is that if MS was moving the needle in a meaningful way, someone would have broke the story by now because hiring frenzies are not done quietly.
Until signs become more clear that there is some action behind Phil Spencers interviews, it sure looks like a lot of talk. Would love to be proven wrong, though. A scorpio would look nice in my entertainment center.

Dude the Xbox brand has been out for almost 20years now, how much time do they need?
The OG Xbox and 360 had plenty of great content... the end of last gen and the start of this gen is where past management dropped the ball, content wise.
Phil & Co took over in 2014, and had to course correct and prevent the ship capsizing (after the XB1 launch fiasco under Mattrick). Now they've implemented a lot of great services & features, fixed the hardware woes etc... and have said ad nauseum that investing in content is their next priority. In a perfect world, yes, this should have been done years ago. Hopefully these investments start bearing fruit over the next few years.

I find it odd people see no reason in owning an XB1 if it has console exclusives on PC, then see other people bash the Windows Store and say they aren't going to support it. If they are doing both, then they simply hate Xbox/Microsoft.
Colin has been more a defender of Xbox than he gets credit for (since he’s candidly a PS-centric gamer), but he’s been mercurial in pointing out this issue in the past. This problem goes back to the Mattrick days when MS pumped out the Kinect, diverting attention and resources from the horse they rode in on and making the numbers-backed decision of paying for exclusive or timed release DLC instead of building their publishing portfolio.
Something Colin has finally come around to pointing out is that the cold, hard truth in the console world is about leveraging IP to drive your platform. To MS’ credit, they’ve tried to make pro-consumer concessions to fill that void, but not having a market advantage in game library can’t be covered up.
