I hate this "I take gameplay over graphics",or the opposite,mentality...
Why choose,why not have both?
On the PC,I never have to choose. If we had next gen consoles, console gamers wouldn't have to choose either!
Gameplay and graphics are both very important game aspects,we want our games to play good, but we also want them to look good,to be eye-pleasing.It's sad to see that at this point, devs have to make signifficant sacfriffices to one aspect,to make other one shine.

because when your limited and playing on a console you'd rather have a game that plays great a-la fifa sure it might not be the belle of the ball but goddamn the gameplay is addictive.
good gameplay tends to rank higher on folks lists to be brutally honest it makes or breaks a game more than graphical capability in my book anyway.
That is correct,a game without a good core gameplay mechanics will never achieve true success,no matter the visual quality. But still, eye pleasing visuals can make a great game much better,by improving immersion, and the overall mood and theme of the game...
The point is,this console generation dragged on for way too long,we're at the point where most developers cannot make their vision complete without having to sacriffice and cut something away...
We simply need new consoles that'll give the developers more tools to be able to develop without a lot of hardware based limitations present in current consoles...
