Just Picked Up Heavenly Sword Oh My God!!!!

i am not even an hour into the game and this game is better then god of war. i just started using the heavenly sword... and no words can express how amazing this game is.... the story best yet for any title i have seen. combat !!! that's all that needs to be said... wow i can't wait to get further along in this game.-Renegade

dude god of war is so repetitive...heavenly sword has so many combos and to me it just looks better then god of war the way she does it.oh and btw did i mention the graqphics are insane? best on ps3 yet.

my thoughts exactly... i am sure the game is good but its way way too short. At least gears had hours upon hours of multiplayer..

I can tell many of you havent played HS yet! If you actually did, you would be impressed by some facet of the game wether its combat, story, graphics and especially the scale of the battles.People who play this game do play it on "Hell Mode" after the first time. Its that fun...

the only thing they have against it is the lenght,which isnt even take bad with hell mode

The game is great, it has alot of different styles of gameplay, it has unique combat system, great story, great visuals, great everything,

But, it is short, it had to be longer next time because I like the game very much, I didn't finish the game but I think in 1 hour Im gonna finish it( I've played 7 hours), the story is the reason why the game is short, may be HS 2 will be longer though.

I might buy it during Christmas. But maybe I shoulded of rented it instead of Lair. :( God that game is worse than I thought.leviathan91

HS sucks IMO. Pretty easy to button mash your way through. GOW owns it:D-Sniper99-

No way, the combat system is very complex, you can't mash your way, every enemy has a unique style to beat, and there is some battles you can't imagine how many AIs against you and they are very clever, you will die even in normal mode, I didn't finish the game, I think hell mode will be hell. :)

Supposedly the combat is awesome but flawed since you only need to use the same few combos for the whole game.

As for the story, unmatched delivery and presentation, 10/10 for delivery.

I've watched the game, but only played it for a few minutes. Very fun though.

yeah because as soon as i picked up god of war i knew it was going to disappoint me. heavenly sword only got better and like someone else said it's like i'm playing a movie this has to be one of the best games i have ever played.

im not, its just a shame that Heavenly Sword will be overeshadowed and put down for being short when in reality its one of the most beautiful games ive ever played...

The charachters are truly amazing, this game makes you FEEL, i almost got a lil choked up at the end and that hasnt happened this MGS3...

Hell Mode is a BLAST, and is def a sweet spot for anyone who thtought the first playthrough was too easy...

HS is a GREAT game

some people were playing HS at my local game store just afew hours ago. from what I HAVE SEEN..the gameplay looks abit..boring. i dont know if this was because the guy playing it was a button masher or something,but watching him play made the game look very bland and boring. A.I is another thing i noticed.. i dont know if the game was on easy or hell mode,but those badguys clearly wanted to get their asses kicked since they werent moving half the time. aside from the problems i have with the game..the graphics and audio were very good..made me wish Ninja gaiden had something like that.

but im sure ninja gaiden 2 will be a much more harder game. :wink:

From what I remember from watching the video review from IGN, the guy didn't really mention it. Which means that probably it's nothing special. Did GameSpot say much about the story at all ?

Games do not consist of only either Story or Gameplay

NG has only one, Gameplay, and while it is lightyears ahead of HS, it doesnt matter, because the whole package is what counts

which is why HS triumphs over NG in my book, with good gameplay and superb story, it beats JUST gameplay

WTH makes you think mediocre gameplay and a great story is better than a game with SUBERB gameplay? The best in the genre infact? If you value the story so much more than the gameplay then you should go read a book or watch a good movie.

I am committed to a rental of this game. Nothing more for now. People either love or hate this game, it seems.Dreams-Visions
