Just traded in my 360 for a PS3, and wholly crap the PS3 is MUCH BETTER!

My point is not invalid because you are 1 person, truth is WiFi gaming has far more instances of lag than hardwire gaming...a method which I'm sure anybody in their right mind would prefer.

Final Fantasy 13...we know nothing about it. Nothing at all. A few CGI screens, 1 or two gameplay screens, we know that the White Engine is in major trouble, and that its been turned into a multi-platform engine.

There was that interview in Dengeki PS3, but come on now...that flat out bled "fake". So we can't say anything about Blu-Ray being needed for it.

What will change it? Games of course. I already posted some in this topic (reading is good). Furthermore I think you're able enough to look up yourself what other games are coming to the PS3 in 2008. It's a better lineup than the 360 one. You can argue that but most will agree it's better on the Ps3. Even most realistic lemmings admit it.

I don't think anyone is upset or pissed about this guy buying a PS3. It looks to me like people are just finding his reasons for doing so to be hilarious, which, if you read his original post, is understandable. People in their right minds buy a system for games, and he's completely ignoring those.

I was a total fanboy with my 360 (which I had since launch) but all of my friends with consoles have the PS3 so I just reluctantly traded in my 360 for a PS3 so that I could play online with my friends.

I was totally expecting to be totally dissapointed with the PS3 but happy that I could at least play with people online.

To my suprise, the PS3 is a MUCH BETTER SYSTEM!!!!!

This is for a bunch of reasons:

-Sure the 360 controller is better than the PS3's, but the PS3's is still the basic Dualshock set-up which is incredible (plus a rumble enabled version is coming out next year)! Yeah the R2 and L2 buttons on the PS3 controller are too slippery, but you actually get used to it.

-The PS3's console physically looks much much cooler. I was in denial about this for a while, but really there is no comparison here.

-The single biggest factor is the interface. The PS3's interface is just absolutely incredible - it is incredible clean and logical and pleasing to the eye. The 360's is practical but very cluttered. This applies not only for the homepage, but for the online store! I mean the PS3 online store is like an actual online store that you shop at which is really cool.

-The main versions of each console are the same price ($399) but the PS3 comes with built in wi fi (for the 360 you have to spend an extra $129 for this!).

-The PS3 supports bluetooth headsets which is very cool (but I'll admit that the standard headset thing going with the 360 is better for consistent online chatting in terms of quality and people being able to easily mute their mic easily).

-Can't complain about a built-in Blue Ray player.

So I'm not trying to start a flaming war, I'm just shocked that I actually thought the 360 was better! After trading it in for a Playstation 3, there is really no comparison for me - the PS3 is actually a lot better!

With the PS3 price drop, I would bet my house on the PS3 beating the 360 in sales now!

I said I already posted some games in this topic, but since you're too lazy to read back I'll post it again. In 2008 the PS3 will get FF13 (hopefully could be 2009), GT3 and MGS4. Nowthose ip's are quite high in the list of best selling games ever, so it's safe to say it's the opinion of a lot of people that these games are good. Aside from that there are lots of other games coming with a lot of potential, like LBP, KZ2 and possible Haze (although I see that one flop). There are topics on here comparing the lineups, you know that as well as I do and IMO looking at it objectively (whichis difficult at SWW, I know) I think most will agree the PS3's looks better.

But hey everyone is entitled to his opinion and I'm going to eat pizza now so I'll stop discussing in this topic. It was fun!

As I explained, all of my friends with consoles have a PS3. So I'm stting around with my 360 playing like CofD4 with strangers while all of my friends are playing it together online on their PS3s. We get together the next day and they are all like 'wow that was so fun last night' and I'm totally missing out.

I don't see why it is so hard for people to believe that I would trade in the 360 for a PS3 on this basis.

I didn't mention games because most of the big games are on both systems anyway so I don't consider the games issue too relevant. For example, CofD4, GTA IV, Burnout, most sports games, etc.

Yes there are some major exclusives on each system beyond this but let's be reasonable people - there are good exclusives on both sides. Arguing over which system has more of the better exclusives is pointless for my situation (again, if all my friends are playing on the PS3, I'm not going to play by myself with strangers on the 360 because some of its exclusives are better on the 360).

Personally for me though, I actually prefer the PS3 exclusives - mainly because the SOCOM series is one of my favourite game series while the biggest 360 exlusive, Halo, is not that exciting for me (I'm obvoiusly more of a tactical shooter person).

Only issue is the in game interface, which, if you're smart, doesn't really matter all that much.

I do miss being able to play my own music while I played, but then again, Microsoft broke the windows media sharing thing because they were like "Here, use this program!" I was happy. "Here, use Windows media player and sharing!" I was satisfied. "Here, we're advertising our new Zune, USE THE ZUNE PROGRAM!" I was dissatisfied. "Here, we fail. We won't let you connect no matter how hard you try!" I was angry. I am angry.

I'd be happy to transfer my music into my consoles, but the 360 also makes that a tad more painful than the ps3 >.>

Grr. As soon as we get XMB integrated into games for the PS3(they're working on it), I'll be happy with an in game interface, for once in a long time. Oh, and friends list integration will be nice. The 360's is very, very nice, and useful. Thankfully that can easily be set up by the makers of games by importing your friends list into the game, and going from there.

Har har. The only multiplat that is "truly superior" on the 360 within the last year could be the Orange Box, and that's because the lazy Valve members gave it to EA. And EA ruins nearly everything they touch.

CoD4 is the same on both consoles.

Obilivion is superior on the PS3, that your excuse for "delayed"

Forza 2 sucks, I'm sorry to let you know. You're also forgetting about Burnout, the only great racer on any console.

GTA IV. Well. I'm suspecting the release dates will be about the same now. And microsoft paid big, big bucks for the small exclusive material. Especially considering it's a free range world type of game. Burnout will be awesome on both systems.

Might I add you're forgetting to account for any great ps3 exclusives? If Halo 3 is your definition of a "great exclusive," well then, add Lair to Ps3's great exclusives. They're equally entertaining.

^^Joking. But seriously, add Uncharted, R&C:F, and Heavenly sword, at the least, if you say halo 3 is that "great exclusive." If it's GeoW, then add Uncharted and R&C:F

The Xbox and Gamecube both had better graphics processors than PS2 and XBOX had better hardware all around. The PS2 won out because of games. Sony forgot that and brought us a loaded system with a bunch of bells and whistles most of us don't want to pay for. Just bring on the games. God of War 3 and shadow of the colossus 2 and I will start looking at the PS3. I play the games not the system.

But in the end I think it will be 1 the Wii. 2. Xbox360 and 3. PS3.

Er-- The XMB is better than the 360 interface...

Only issue is the in game interface, which, if you're smart, doesn't really matter all that much.

I do miss being able to play my own music while I played, but then again, Microsoft broke the windows media sharing thing because they were like "Here, use this program!" I was happy. "Here, use Windows media player and sharing!" I was satisfied. "Here, we're advertising our new Zune, USE THE ZUNE PROGRAM!" I was dissatisfied. "Here, we fail. We won't let you connect no matter how hard you try!" I was angry. I am angry.

I'd be happy to transfer my music into my consoles, but the 360 also makes that a tad more painful than the ps3 >.>

Grr. As soon as we get XMB integrated into games for the PS3(they're working on it), I'll be happy with an in game interface, for once in a long time. Oh, and friends list integration will be nice. The 360's is very, very nice, and useful. Thankfully that can easily be set up by the makers of games by importing your friends list into the game, and going from there.

Yeah, in all honesty, so do I, in the gaming aspect. I prefer the PS3's from a technical standpoint. It lets you do a helluva lot more with the system than on the 360... I was just stating that it has more potential than the 360's. It's all up to see if sony can dig in to that potential.

Forza 2 sucks, I'm sorry to let you know. You're also forgetting about Burnout, the only great racer on any console.
