Just traded in my 360 for a PS3, and wholly crap the PS3 is MUCH BETTER!

From what I've heard, Oblivion is more epic. I'd probably personally favor Mass Effect though. I'm more into the KOTOR style gameplay :D

Besides, I respect that Oblivion is an amazing game, despite personally hating it.

Yes there are some major exclusives on each system beyond this but let's be reasonable people - there are good exclusives on both sides. Arguing over which system has more of the better exclusives is pointless for my situation (again, if all my friends are playing on the PS3, I'm not going to play by myself with strangers on the 360 because some of its exclusives are better on the 360).

Personally for me though, I actually prefer the PS3 exclusives - mainly because the SOCOM series is one of my favourite game series while the biggest 360 exlusive, Halo, is not that exciting for me (I'm obvoiusly more of a tactical shooter person).

-The main versions of each console are the same price ($399) but the PS3 comes with built in wi fi (for the 360 you have to spend an extra $129 for this!).

-The PS3 supports bluetooth headsets which is very cool (but I'll admit that the standard headset thing going with the 360 is better for consistent online chatting in terms of quality and people being able to easily mute their mic easily).

-Can't complain about a built-in Blue Ray player.

So I'm not trying to start a flaming war, I'm just shocked that I actually thought the 360 was better! After trading it in for a Playstation 3, there is really no comparison for me - the PS3 is actually a lot better!

With the PS3 price drop, I would bet my house on the PS3 beating the 360 in sales now!

1. Consistency: the 360 interface acts the same all the way through. The PlayStation Store acts differently than the XMB - in fact, it acts a lot more like a page in the web browser, which leads me to believe that Sony took the lazy way out, and the store is simply a web page. Where else in the XMB do you move a pointer around? In the PS Store, the circle button exits - in any other part of the interface (and many games), it takes you back to the previous menu. And then there's downloading videos - it always asks if I want to download to my memory stick or my hard drive, but the button to choose one is inexplicably the Start button, not X.

2. Simplicity: let's start with the "Perform in Background" button on PS Store downloads - it makes no difference, so why not always download in the background? It's an unnecessary choice. The same goes for after a video is done playing - it pauses. Why not go back to the XMB? What could I possibly want to accomplish from a black screen that I couldn't do from the XMB?

3. Discoverability: want to know what a button does? The 360 puts it at the bottom of every blade. What does a given menu item do? The Dashboard explains it all in a side pane. The XMB doesn't do this, so if you don't know what "Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr Super-White (HDMI)" does, you're on your own to look it up in the manual.

There are way too many areas in the interface where it feels like nobody put any thought into how the users would actually interact with it.
