I was a total fanboy with my 360 (which I had since launch) but all of my friends with consoles have the PS3 so I just reluctantly traded in my 360 for a PS3 so that I could play online with my friends.
I was totally expecting to be totally dissapointed with the PS3 but happy that I could at least play with people online.
To my suprise, the PS3 is a MUCH BETTER SYSTEM!!!!!
This is for a bunch of reasons:
-Sure the 360 controller is better than the PS3's, but the PS3's is still the basic Dualshock set-up which is incredible (plus a rumble enabled version is coming out next year)! Yeah the R2 and L2 buttons on the PS3 controller are too slippery, but you actually get used to it.
-The PS3's console physically looks much much cooler. I was in denial about this for a while, but really there is no comparison here.
-The single biggest factor is the interface. The PS3's interface is just absolutely incredible - it is incredible clean and logical and pleasing to the eye. The 360's is practical but very cluttered. This applies not only for the homepage, but for the online store! I mean the PS3 online store is like an actual online store that you shop at which is really cool.
-The main versions of each console are the same price ($399) but the PS3 comes with built in wi fi (for the 360 you have to spend an extra $129 for this!).
-The PS3 supports bluetooth headsets which is very cool (but I'll admit that the standard headset thing going with the 360 is better for consistent online chatting in terms of quality and people being able to easily mute their mic easily).
-Can't complain about a built-in Blue Ray player.
So I'm not trying to start a flaming war, I'm just shocked that I actually thought the 360 was better! After trading it in for a Playstation 3, there is really no comparison for me - the PS3 is actually a lot better!
With the PS3 price drop, I would bet my house on the PS3 beating the 360 in sales now!

Your reason for a "MUCH BETTER" system are weak and half of them are contradictions like the headset one. First off I can understand getting a console that all your friends have so you can all play together, but you speak as if the 360 was no where near the PS3 in terms of quality but fail to impress with your reasonings. I could tell you that Blu-Ray will be and never will be a reason to own a videogame console so I could debate and complain about a "free" (cough FORCED cough) Blu-Ray format all day. Second the wifi for the 360 is NOT $129 dollars. Regularly it's $99 but ANYONE can find it for less even at $50. Besides wifi is NOT a necessity for online gaming and MOST gamers I know don't even use it. Not to mention you say the PSN store is like a "store" ok, but how is that any worth an improvement over the Marketplace? Everything in the Marketplace is CLEARLY mapped out and categorized for easy access. Hell you can even just pick an option to see what's new to download for only the games you own! You say the Marketplace is cluttered and my only response to that is that it's because LIVE offers about 100 times more content then the PSN store does so there ya go. You also mention PS3 looks better well if you like looking at over-sized black machinery then I see your point but it's no eye candy. I'm not saying 360 is either but in my opinion it's ALOT easier on my eyes (And my arms when I have to move it) then the PS3 will ever be. Sony was never one for making pretty consoles except for the PS2 slim. While youmight enjoy a handful of average exclusive titles and MANY MANY MANY ports and multiplat games on your new PS3 again I say your justification of proclaiming the PS3 as a "better system" is flawed and fails to impress or tempt me to buy a PS3.
