Killzone 3 is better than Halo games

The gunplay is better, the graphics are better, the enemy and their ai are better. Let's not forget the epicness that is the MAWLR:

My question is, why do people cling to scores so much? This game is much better than ODST, despite their respective scores. The MP isn't as good as it was in Killzone 2, but it's still better than anything Halo or CoD have to offer unless you really really want to have vehicles in which case you should just go play Bad Company 2 or other battlefield games.

Where's the fun?

Killzone 3 (haven't played) to Killzone 2 must be even more of an improvement than Killzone 2 to Killzone 1 was, because KZ2 has nothing on the Halo series.

It is technically better when it comes to graphics, but I wouldn't even say it looks nicer. Halo games are just aesthetically pleasing to my I's. And I don't know about the rest because I've only played the demo, but from what I've seen/played there's nothing noticeably better, if at all better, than Halo Reach. I loved that game.UCF_Knight

Haven't played any KZ, so I can't really judge. However, if it doesn't take an enitre clip to bring an enemy down in KZ, you already have a game more fun than Halo, in my opinion.

Yeah I've had more fun with the Killzone games than Halo, the multiplayer just stays with me much longer, Reach got old for me. And you are right on that one it isn't as good as Killzone 2 but still better than most out there.

Also prepare to have people hurl scores at you without offering anything else to back it up.

Why would anyone play Killzone 3, when Black Ops is far better(besides graphics)?

It comes down to preference & opinion but, personally, I could write an essay on the areas I thought KZ2 fell short of Halo 3/ODST/Reach. I haven't played KZ3, so I don't know how much it has improved & can only go on reviews & scores. For what it's worth, I thought Reach was a step backwards for the franchise, yet I still much preferred it to KZ2.

DUDE you go to UCF?

Halo has large open areas, excellent pacing through chapters and great vehicle scenes. Killzone 3 is a linear rail shooter which involves running through a 10 minute cooridor shooting the same enemies, watching a cutscene, then doing it again. Occasionally it's broken up with a slight change of pace, but it's almost always like you're on rails.

Here's why I think Halo is a better game:

• Better music
• Better setting and story
• It has great vehicles
• It's less linear and better paced
• It doesn't involve 10 mins of rail shooting followed by 5 mins of cutscene in a cycle
• The weapons are more interesting and fun to play with
• Halo games had better multiplayer
• There's more colours than green and orange
• More interesting enemies

Not everybody shares your opinion tc.

I will admit, the dogfights in Banshees in the Halo games are very fun, and usually epic.

Actually I'm looking forward to Resistence 3

Agreed. KZ is great, and so is Halo, but if you think Halo CE is the definitive FPS, you need to play more games...

I will give it that the MAWLR was absolutely awesome, but that's about it. Killzone is far from being a bad game, but the one thing that really sets Halo above it is that I have many fond memories of LAN parties with the first two Halo games and playing online with 3, ODST and Reach.

I melle a buttload, but am not so good at headshots. I just think that the overall feel of the weapons is lacking. They just don't feel very powerful.

It's not that. I don't play online at my friends house (I don't own any of the games, but have played them extensivley with friends), so we usually do firefiht. I usually do good. It's just that none of the guns feel powerful, like in other games, yes, even CoD.

Yeah, I don't know... just doesn't appeal to me, I guess. The Halo games aren't bad, per se, just mediocre, I think.

Like I said earlier, though, I love the dogfights in Banshees.
