Killzone 3 is better than Halo games

I'm not a "fanboy" of either of those games. Never even played any KZ.Also, I think you're wrong with the majority thing. According to that philsophy, if the majority of the population was jumping off a bridge, it would be the right thing to do.

Halo is just old feeling, it still feels a lot like Halo: Combat Evolved (but it hasnt evolved IRL).

Even playing some Reach today I was amazed at how Halo can still get away with poor visuals. I know some people say graphics dont matter, but thats like saying presentation doesnt matter, or story doest matter. It all needs to be great to have that perfect experience IMO. Having great graphics can immerse you into the game better than a game that has shotty graphics. Anyway my .2 cents. Hopefully with Bungie out of the way now, Halo can take a different direction and maybe we can see something new, who knows.

The gunplay is better, the graphics are better, the enemy and their ai are better. Let's not forget the epicness that is the MAWLR:

My question is, why do people cling to scores so much? This game is much better than ODST, despite their respective scores. The MP isn't as good as it was in Killzone 2, but it's still better than anything Halo or CoD have to offer unless you really really want to have vehicles in which case you should just go play Bad Company 2 or other battlefield games.

well OT, this is apparent to anyone who actually plays it. unfortunately, most people on SW havent actually played through the game (and that probably even includes some of the PS3 fans who defend it).

here is a little anecdote to exemplify this point

I have a friend who is a pretty big halo fan. he is a hardcore gamer and is actually quite a bit older than me. He came over to stay at my place friday night (since his car got broken into) and I told him to try out KZ3. he was going through the jungle stage and then following snow stages biting his lip. it was clear that he realized that halo doesnt hold a candle to this game. it didnt take long before he conceded. I asked him what he thought of KZ3 and he told me in these exact words

"this game ****s halo in the eye sockets"

and this is coming from someone who has been with halo since the first game. after experiencing this game, he couldnt deceive himself into thinking that it was anything other than a masterpiece.

the reason why most Xbox/halo fanboys attack KZ3 is because they haven't even played it. when I see this much animosity and prejudice, it becomes increasingly clear that these are not the kinds of people who would fork out 60 dollars to buy this game. They would not actually pay that much for a game that is in a franchise that they apparently despise. If I gave each of these people a PS3 and a copy of the game, I guarantee they would have a change in tune.

Listen, people could hide behind whatever they want if it makes them feel better. Point im making is I went out and bought an Xbox 360 along with Reach to see what everyone was talking about...and I just dont get it. I enjoyed Alan wake, conviction and Forza 3 more than Reach. Its a good game, dont get me wrong, but its not EPIC. Its not some untouchable masterpeice that people make it out to be. I dont want to get into it now, because my thoughts are somewhere else in this thread already, but id rather take my opinion (after having played both) rather than people who only own an xbox 360, or have only played Halo. They're the ones missing out, not I.

Nope. Halo is better. Killzone isn't even the best FPS exclusive on PS. I find the Resistance series better. Can't wait for Resistance 3.

Im pretty sure thats 99% of system wars. If this wasnt the case, people would get along better.

As an avid PC gamer Halo is the closest an FPS comes to playable on the consoles for me, so I'm giving it a nod in that regard.

Bungie really knows their stuff.
