Still compressed, but much better quality than the uber-compressed 720p footage we've recently seen.

wasn't the next-gen leap we were all expecting, but still looks good.
can't touch crysis 3 though. :(
Keep in mind, this was made with only 4GB of RAM available. Sony changed it to 8GB last minute. This looks amazing and it's just a launch title, can't wait to see what devs can pull off 1 year into its release.

Let's wait until the game is finished before we make such statements. This game has a good 8+ months of development time until release. Things can easily be improved. Also, let's not forget that this is a freaking launch game. Visuals will only improve from here on out.wasn't the next-gen leap we were all expecting, but still looks good.

things usually go the opposite direction of improving. :(
This was nowhere near the best game of the conference, yet there's like 3 threads about it.
Where are all the threads for The Witness? Or DriveClub?

The textures will certainly get a lot better.
I agree, I think Deep Down is the true next gen game i was expecting 2 days ago, All the other games looked like bleh.wasn't the next-gen leap we were all expecting, but still looks good.

looks good.
i was never some uber fan of killzone but i did at least play through them all to see the story. (not counting the 1st one which i just couldn't stand to slog through to see the end)

He didn't seem aware anyway, think a few other devs mentioned their surprise. Plus all the dev kit leaks showed the first range of kits were 4GB, seems they'll ship out the 8GB in the near future and was probably a fairly last minute switch in response to MS' spec rumours.

Driver Club and Infamous were my favorites. The Capcom game was cool too but it didn't show gameplay so I don't know what to expect. Knack also looked pretty neat as well.. Killzone was pretty but did nothing to awe me in any way

yeah, that was the "before" screen. :(
It isn't lighting, It's the colours the game is more vibrant, Just like Far Cry 3, The game doesn't have any GREAT VISUALS it's just the colours. Aside from that, Global Illumination (i think) was in KZ3.The biggest change in visuals I see over previous KZ games is the huge improvement in lighting, reflections and particle effects. The visuals easily outclass KZ3 by a great amount. These visuals could not be done on the PS3.

Final Fantasy XIII meets Killzone
Looks gorgeous. Always great to have one of your best developers set there bar for future PS4 titles. Definitely picking up a PS4 if this is a launch title, along with Drive Club (Hennessey Venom GT!? Houston, represent!)
[QUOTE="emgesp"]Every video is compressed..... or else you want 100GB download :p No, to get high quality 1080p footage the bitrate needs to maintain somewhere around 20 Megabits per second. Youtube maxes out at around 4-6 Megabits per second. What I'm saying is that Killzone 4 will look even more sharp when actually played on the PS4.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUjQ4DJXLzw

Exactly, its just another Killzone game.
I'm sure it will be decent but there are PS4 titles far more worthy of such hype.

You don't know that. Its just a rumor that they added 4GB suddenly. Could've been that all those rumors were based off old information. It is a pretty stupid idea to think a first-party Sony studio wouldn't have access to full specs, etc.Keep in mind, this was made with only 4GB of RAM available. Sony changed it to 8GB last minute. why are hermits doing so much damage control? the game looks great for alpha footage running on the lesser dev kit. at the end of the day there is no need for some $1000 graphics card because because developers will target PS4/X720, making a pc exclusive that really pushes high end hardware now and the future is not economical. the geometry, character models and that draw distance is very impressive. so master race what pc games put this in the shade? i will wait...

Maybe screenshot wasn't the right word :P.
But that is how the game will end up looking in the end, the hardware pretty much confirms it.

Actually, I do. Devs tweeted it many times, and DF said it themselves: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/df-hardware-spec-analysis-playstation-4
So, like I said before, definitely not a rumor.
Its a early built of the game..Just wait till they complete the game and polish everything out,.I bet you its goin to blow a lot of people minds!wasn't the next-gen leap we were all expecting, but still looks good.
