Considering that Microsoft spent 500 million to advertise this thing that kinda not impressive through that might change in a long run.

[QUOTE="DarkStraberry"]that's... less than stellarDoolz2024Has move even sold 1 milllion yet? 2.5 million actually
hmmmm... from his link ", the Kinect sold twice as well as Move did in its first week, to the tune of 475,000 units."But he is claiming it outsold move overall.[QUOTE="AznKSor"]They said they are speculating that it would outsell move...... They didn't say it did.

I know where I am, when I went to pick up Kinectimals. I got their last copy and they had no Kinect in stock. They were almost out of every game. I feel sorry for the people who got the fighter.Thats good for MS, though its not quite what was expected. The hype that was built here seemed as if it would be impossible to find one anywhere. Thats not the case near me, every store has quite a few laying around.

shipped I believe but even so it doesnt matter they get paid for the shipped copies to[QUOTE="ohthemanatee"]it's a good start, but not too great. Better then move I suppose, but as the tittle correctly says: "Only 4 million to go before 2011 starts."EdenProxy
that's... less than stellarDarkStraberryAre you guys serious :| its a great start
I think it's a good start, better then move's.
but is it great? imo no, it isn't
Well Aaron greenberg claims its sold through. Don Matrick reported "sold" in investor terms means shipped. So what to believe i really do not know. But either way its way below what i thought it would sell.
500 Million in advertising and thats all they could get in 10 days. But black friday should give Move and Kinect good boosts. After the christmas season is when the real battle begins. Who will be willing to spend 150 to play Kinect after all the hype has died down? Lets wait and see.

2.5 million actuallyTintedEyes

Yeah, I was about to ask the same, proof that it's actually SOLD 2.5 million please. its shipped, isnt this the way manufactures always count it?[QUOTE="Doolz2024"][QUOTE="ohthemanatee"]Yeah, I was about to ask the same, proof that it's actually SOLD 2.5 million please. its shipped, isnt this the way manufactures always count it?are those shipped or sold?

you see, that's the thing, I google both the EU and US numbers for move and the vibe I got was that the EU numbers are sold and US numbers are shipped
as for Kinect... still not sure whether this is shipped or sold, but the link does say "sold" instead of "shipped" so i'm more inclined towards that the first one

Yeah, I was about to ask the same, proof that it's actually SOLD 2.5 million please. No one will ever know sold through numbers because its very very very hard and almost impossible to track sold through numbers. If you exec claiming sold through numbers don't believe it. But believe their shipped numbers because they can actuaally keep track of how many they have shipped
[QUOTE="Doolz2024"][QUOTE="ohthemanatee"]Yeah, I was about to ask the same, proof that it's actually SOLD 2.5 million please. its shipped, isnt this the way manufactures always count it?So then Sony who had no $500 million Ad campain shipped out 2.5 million in preparation for its Move launch but MS oddly enough only shipped out 1.5 million. LOL Oh OK then guys.are those shipped or sold?

Are you people really serious, these numbers are incrediable for a device that been out a week in a half, and still hasn't launch all over the world yet. You can't even campaired this to the move, lets say the move did sell 2.5 million (which we all know it meansshipped) it took them 2 months to reach that. When the kinect is on pace to sell4-5 buy end of theyear. Ithink people are under estimating the sales Christmas produce. And for the 500 million marketing, kinect has sold a million which = 150 million already. And kinect is soldout at a lot of places.

thats the only 2 mrkets the 360 has. The US is by far their hugest market. followed by the UK. And thats it

I think what he means is that you're comparing the first 10 days of US sales and the first 5 days of EU sales Kinect got to the first month sales Move got from the EU and US respectivly

EDIT: @mantee, still though the move and kinect shipped records were relativly the same but even so when Kinect releases in the other markets it wont see much light.

actually. The 2.5 million moveshipped came in just a month and its minus Japan.
Move Will pickup steam during the holidays and black friday too. So its not like the Move will stop selling.
Tack-On the fact that Sony did not need a 500 million marketing budget, then you will see why these Kinect Numbers seem less impressive. If they had a move like ad-campaing and sold 1 million in 10 days then i would have been impressed.
But how it holds up after launch is what really counts.

They're actually just rubbing it in to TC because he was the one posting threads on how Kinect would be an uber monster because of Oprah and Ad Campaign.
My stance, neither Kinect nor move will be monster sellers because they aren't required to play most games, unlike the Wii.

But this was all done minus a 500 Million marketing campaign, minus the holiday buying spree aura. Which by the way help move more than any launch ad campaigncould have. Thats why these numbers seem less impressive than what they actually are.
This advertising was twice the budget of the Xbox 360 launch. Thats preety telling
