These images are not appropriate to say if the textures are good or bad. They are too small.

TC: On the website you posted as a source Images are the same as here

some people won't let it go. I own Gears 1 and to still say it is graphics king when multiple sites said it was Uncharted means you are in denial. I am going to get Gears 2 probably next month but this whole thread has fail written all over it.hiryu3

KZ2 is not the graphics king cause its not released yet... it looks amazing though...

probably once released it will become 'the graphics king' on consoles.. atm though seems like Geow2 is currently the best looking game on consoles...

Yeah, and COD4 textures look good from a distance and low res pics.

true off screen shots are not the best way to show the graphical quality of a game because it doesnt represent the actual graphics...

that being said, Killzone2 looks simply amazing... but anyway haters/fanboys will never admit that...

Actually, I think off-screen photos, and screen caps in general, often look much worse than what a game looks like running on a real TV in front of me.

I usually sit about two feet from a 32" TV. Its the perfect distance for me. I see everything clearly, and all the uglies are dtill evened out by the distance.

But the main reason, in motion, most of the issues visible in screens, like low rez textures and jaggies, are hardly noticeable to me, as I don't focus on them.

its a FPS with covering, that means the cameras going to be a hell of alot closer to walls than in those screens.

That is way to close for me

I have 32'' LCD TV and sitting about 9 feet from it.

Maybe that is a little bit far but 7 feet is the closest I will be sitting.

killzone 2 renders the entirelevel at once, i dont have ne specific screens showing that many ppl on at once, but we know it can handle a lot, take the online for example u can have 31 guys on ur screen at once

and the amount if things that go on in KZ2, if u look at the start of the newer single player level we've been shown u'll see A LOT of detail, people crawling on the ground, landers flying over, artillery hitting all over, medics going to help people, soldiers shooting, rockets flying, and with all that going on u pick up a rocket launcher and destroy a bridge with like 10 people on it
