Least innovative console manufacturer

Which of the three console manufactuerers is all around the least innovative?

Come on how can you be blind and not see the blatent attempts that sony does to rip off its competitors

this first started when ps1 came out ---

the controllers and the controller ports both resemble snes controllers /controller ports heck there was a time they had to recall all the ps1s due to sony illegally putting a snes cartridge slot into early ps1 models ,

the 2nd came when they saw the n64 controller and reworked the ps1 controller to resemble it and included just sticks , then --- they later added rumble after n64 had rumble

then they made in 2004 a game called killzone -- i think everyone knows what game this is a rip off of , i dont even need to mention it ,

then in 2009 3 yrs after wii came and went to succeed they created something called move

now this is the most obvious rip off in history of playstation - not only does the main device look similar but the 2nd attachment is exactly like a nunchuck all the way to the wrist strap

Without XBL, chances are that console gaming would be much different. Then they also brought in Achivements, a small thing on a first glance, but nevertheless, a very popular one, later copied by Sony (Trophies), and now Wii-U (Accomplishments)...

I'd say Sony. They haven't really innovated anything. MS has brought us a fps that became the basis for console fps, achievments, brought stable online community to consoles, the dashboard button, and complete movement controlls. Sony follows. Nintendo is very innovative though. Always doing something different.

At some point in time Sony were the most innovative, it is not right now.

Nintendo have had gens where they had little to none innovation.

MS is too young (on the console market) to make a good judgement call, but both the xbox and 360 have done alot for innovation, things we do like, and do not like.

Overall if we boil down the timelines, I suspect that Sony might be the least innovative, but since I can not fairly comment on MS, they might be.

Overall Nintendo has been pretty innovative on average, so the "least innovative" award does not belong to them in a long stretch.

Sony, don't get me wrong they have a great console and a great library, but that doesn't mean they're innovative.

Nintendo brought motion controls to the mainstream, and MS brought the Kinect.

Clearly sony. I like them a ton more than microsoft, but sony is really bad for not doing anything first. They tend to follow along with whatever is successful with their competitors.

So you are just going to ignore the fact that 2 analog stix is actually pretty revolutionary. Nintendo had one stix, that was the most broken thing ever... But they didnt have two, SONY didnt copy them there.

Because the 3DS is about as powerful as the GCN (Roughly) and the DS was as powerful as an N64.

That's for sure, which is why Cows will completely dominate that poll above no matter what and it won't even be close. Polls in SW usually boils down to which fanbase is voting more, not a legit answer to any question. If the population is that vast, it's basically a waste of time having a poll since only one faction SW is full of will vote.

For instance, if I ask which is the highest rated series in a poll : Mario, Uncharted, or Halo...many people don't vote for accuracy, they vote based on their faction/system.

But yeah, looking at the poll results and answers in this thread, your post in red has got to be very accurate I think. :P

The simplistic and old "SW is full of X faction cliche" just doesn't work, even if you hate that faction.
