Sony, for the Move alone.

This was a tough decision for me between M$ and Sony. Neither of these companies have done much as far as innovating.
Microsoft has done something somewhat innovative by ripping people off by charging people to play video games online that can be played free on an opposing console, Sony. They're getting away with it to.
Sony has innovated a lot from the software front with games like Journey, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, LBP and soon with LOU. while M$ is all milkage with XBL and now Kinect. But Nintendo ruined gaming for everyone with their pointless gimmicks and under-powered hardware.
Microsoft, but I still think they are fairly innovative. Live was a landmark for console gaming. Really quite incredible how they directly changed console gaming today, for better or worse.
Being a decent publisher has NOTHING to do with being a console manufacture. Nice try...Sony has innovated a lot from the software front with games like Journey, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, LBP and soon with LOU. while M$ is all milkage with XBL and now Kinect. But Nintendo ruined gaming for everyone with their pointless gimmicks and under-powered hardware.

Sony by far. The original Xbox was very innovative with adding a hdd, supporting discrete 5.1 sound, adding Xbox live, and additional game content through Xbox live. The 360 took this further, and essentially set in place the way we bought games this gen, added things like Netflix, and opened up the Xbox live arcade. These are things that both the others ended up mimicking, moreso Sony than Nintendo. This is all love it or hate it stuff I should add. Don't care for it, but Kinect deserves to be mentioned.HeirrenTHIS THIS THIS! Thank you! At least someone remembers the 00's
Sony is the only correct answer. Any other answer is blind fanboyism.
Sony copied:
-Wii with Move
-The entire online component from XBL
-Achievements from XBL
-Uncharted was heavily inspired by Gears of War
-Copied Nintendo by adding touchscreen to Vita
-Copied Netflix and other apps from Xbox Live
And the funny thing is, they haven't even copied some of the best things!
-Party Chat on XBL
-A shooter as good as Halo (lol Killzone & Resistance)
-A system seller like Mario, Zelda, Halo, or Gears.

Some work for me others not really but they are innovations in console experience. Even the X button in the middle of the controller was copied by Sony.
Why do people say Heavy rain is innovative, while the others I don't really see as innovative I can at least see an argument for them. Nothing about Heavy rain really screams innovative, just a game in a genre we don't see a lot of on consoles.Sony has innovated a lot from the software front with games like Journey, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, LBP and soon with LOU. while M$ is all milkage with XBL and now Kinect. But Nintendo ruined gaming for everyone with their pointless gimmicks and under-powered hardware.

Sony copied it almost immediatly (big surprise there)
[QUOTE="mems_1224"][QUOTE="ShadowsDemon"]M$. Nothing comes close._Cadbury_what has sony brought to the table this gen? Blu-ray Remote Play Sixaxis sixaxis isn't innovative. its a gimmick that failed, like the move. blu ray isn't really innovative when it requires 15-20 minutes mandatory installs. remote play is nothing, how many games actually use it? like six axis its a poorly implemented gimmick meanwhile MS has revolutionized online gaming, introduced achievements, was a big reason why so many indie games are actually successful now a days, netflix and alot of other media services to consoles
Sony by far, controller as Exhibit A.
Not really bad though. You have Nintendo on the innovation side introducing concepts that they or someone else perfect down the line, and then you have Sony on the opposite end perfecting working concepts (for the most part). THe only problem is that without other people making the innovations, Sony would be forever stuck.
[QUOTE="campzor"]microsoft..software and hardware wisemems_1224what innovations have sony games made exactly? uncharted isnt innovative. gow 3 isn't innovative. killzone isn't innovative. lbp isn't innovativeThey copied alot of things from M$ and Ninty.
That counts as innovation.
