It's going to be Left 4 Dead by Valve, just like TF2 (on 360) they'll promise the updates, but it won't happen.
So everyone who bought the 360 version, why?

I don't have it yet, but I'll be buying the 360 version because I have many friends that either have or are getting the 360 version as well.
I'm pretty sure Valve is going to give 360 owners a giant middle finger in terms of support just like they did with TF2, despite the ridiculous sales The Orange Box enjoyed on the 360. Yes, I know the PC version sold far more but damn, you'd think they could throw us a bone here given how much money we've given them.
well, first off, valve apologized for tf2 on 360 and swore that it wouldn't happen again
and second, i find the 360 version more fun. just played a five hour session with two friends last night. it was awesome

[QUOTE="zaku101"]There is one simple reason why the 360 version is better, and that is because it takes only one game for all four of your friends to play.

Is everyone required to have the game just to play splitscreen?

Well it's a steam game so it won't boot unless you own the game. I am pretty sure he just confused the idea of 4 player co-op with 4 player split screen.

Do you know if you can use more than one keyboard+mouse? Cuz I only have 2 controllers. I'll probably have to also hook the PC up to my HD tv due to the screen size.
I'm getting it for 360 because I game on my 360. I don't game on my crappy laptop :/.MrSlippery39
This is why TC. Not everyone has a $1000 + computer to play it on and no one is going to buy one to play a SLIGHTLY better version. Jeez think next time TC.

Slighly better my ass...people went crazy over the fact that LBP and Far cry 2 had map editors...yet somehow this those not matter at all now.

DInput will only *properly* support one keyboard and mouse, as far as I know.
Any other players will have to use a controller.
you can lan with one copy and its $150 on steam for 4 copies, plus keyboard and mouse makes it 10x better and lan owns split screen unless you have a 50+" monitor/tvThere is one simple reason why the 360 version is better, and that is because it takes only one game for all four of your friends to play.

Two keyboard and mouses might be possible, but unlikely. The optimal configuration would be two gamepads, but one kb/m and one gamepad works too. Like the 360 version, the PC version's split-screen supports up to two players.

No, you can play with 2 people on one PC, you only need 2 copies of the game. And as I recall, I don't think Left 4 Dead on 360 has 4 player split screen, doesn't it only have 2 player split screen? If this is the case, you just failed miserably zaku.Blame MS for putting the foot in the 'free and fast updates' door.well, first off, valve apologized for tf2 on 360 and swore that it wouldn't happen again

Due to the limitations of Windows input, only 1 mouse and keyboard is possible. Although I tried playing with a controller in split screen mode on my PC and it's not terrible, I would never choose it over mouse and keyboard though. I have a lot of friends who prefer controllers(only god knows why) so that will work if they come over and we play split screen.[QUOTE="MrSlippery39"]I'm getting it for 360 because I game on my 360. Slightly. Right. When I consider my 5 year old PC can play L4D and all the user made content, I kind of pity people who make **** to post on forums. The 360 version is fine, but making ignorant statements isnt doing you favours.
I made a similar thread like this the other day...
http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26683122&page=0
also some of your guys' facts are way off:
xbox have better graphics then PC...no
xbox version more fun then PC...false
split screen...people still play that? hahaha
finally PCs cost $1000+ to run games like this?..tell that to my 7 year old SLIGHTLY upgraded Dell...on today's market im sure i could get my current PC for $150 tops, and I can play most of today's games except maybe oblivion, fallout 3, and crysis

So let me get this trash straight, because I don't really think you intended to write what you wrote. You don't feel the need to throw your PC in the garbage can to buy a $1000 monster rig just to play Left 4 Dead, a game running on the four year old Source Engine? MAD.....NESS.
Well I hate sharing my screen, so I could care less about split screen. I got Left 4 Dead for Xbox 360 because all I had to do was buy the game & be 100% postive it would work. Too much trouble dealing with PC & matching up specs. I'll take my controller & big screen over that monitor & keyboard anyday. I've been having a freaking blast with this game on Xbox Live, its a must buy. Later & Good Gaming!!!

So is this guy blind or has no one informed him that you can hook a big screen TV and a controller to a PC?
If he's blind, how can he type like that?
EDIT: if this is the case and you're too lazy to do this, then how do you even get out of bed in the morning?
matching specs is hard?...
installing mods is challenging?...
i swear most of you console owners shouldnt even play games
get this through your heads..unless you want to play crysis(which isnt even a great game) PCs are about half the price of consoles..and can do infinately more
give it up already

Wow, your actually going to crack on how I'm typing & then say I'm lazy because after I work 60 hours a week I don't want to figure out how to hook my lap top up to my big screen when the Xbox 360 already is hooked up.I'm just on here messing around & look how serious all of you get on it. You all are freaking hilarious.
