[QUOTE="DonPerian"][QUOTE="Noverech"]like these guys are saying you can easily hook up your PC to your big ass TV
hell you can even hook up your xbox controller to your nice ass PC..have no idea in hell why you would though, no matter how talented you are with a controller someone with half that talent could kill you using a mouse/keyboard
playing with friends makes sense..most of my friends play xbox live as much as i love my friends, it doesn't justify spending however much an xbox is nowadays..
consoles are sort of like fads that dont die. every generation the PC is miles ahead of them. the problem is nobody wants to break the mold and will instantly buy their preferred console as soon as it comes out(maybe even all of them), instead of being rational about their purchases. They also will support their little love children to death. You guys need to wake up and realize that every console this generation is essentially a dwarfed PC in fancy packaging. (minus the Wii)

A fad that doesn't die isn't a fad. Market logic sure is fun. My PC is about 30 feet away from my gaming setup so you can rule that one out unless you plan on telling me I should run the game off my crap laptop. I can't hook up a 360 controller to my PC, I've already tried. Since it's an Apple machine that has Windows running, there are some quirks to be ironed out. I have an older version of Bootcamp, I hear the newer one does solve that issue.
Honestly, if I go through the pain of getting a long enough wire to hook it up to the tv, updating my Bootcamp and reinstalling Windows on a machine that is primarily for work (and some play, not going to lie), install the drivers for the controller, go through all this just to make it feel like I'm playing on the 360 when the most important aspect of it all, my friends, are absent, seems bogus to me. It may not justify for you, and I can understand that. You have different wants than me as a gamer. But for me, gaming is an abundance. I have options, and despite the PC version being "superior", I still chose 360 because the end result will be greater enjoyment and more ease for me to play. That's more of a priority for me than getting the absolute most out of the game.
You should stop looking at it as a comparison in terms of performance. While they may be technologically inferior, consoles have a lot to offer over PC, especially for me. I like to plug in and play. I also like to keep my work and play machines separate. I'd rather not risk my $8,000 workstation which my job relies on, just so I can download a mod for a video game. Consoles also have some pretty sweet exclusives. Although I've invested thousands into gaming hardware and software and am interested in the business side of it, when it comes to playing, I guess you can consider me a casual player. I like to play for recreational purposes, not to be the most l33t kid around. ;)
it is entirely your fault you chose to buy a console rather then a PC this generation
oh yeah PC doenst have exculsives..
I have all three consoles, and two PC's. One is an HP laptop, the other is a Mac Pro that also has Windows Vista running on it. I play Crysis and Crysis Warhead maxed out on everything over 3 30inch monitors. Although I game on the machine, no mods for me. Simply put, I have every gaming platform this generation has to offer save for the handhed consoles. I can play any game on whatever platform I choose rendering your statement null and void. Still have something to say?By the way, your comment is completely irrelevant. Way to deviate from the discussion. Maybe you should take a debate class or study law instead of investing all your time into mods and uber PC's.
