Okay, Halo 1 and Halo 2 may have sold loads and be critically acclaimed but...it's the unlucky number 3. Have you been to the cinema recently? Shrek 3. Spiderman 3. Pirates 3. However, sequels are always sucsesful - Godfather 2, Empire Strikes Back, Toy Story 2...
So maybe the film industry isnt a perfect parallel but its certinally accurate. Killzone 2 means that the developers can learn from KIllzone 1s mistakes and make a better game, whereas Halo 3 developers will become complacent and run out of ideas.
My money is on Killzone 2.
