The spe's in the cell allow it to handle many processes at once. Why you see certain special effects in games like Killzone, Infamous, Motorstorm, Uncharted that you don't see elsewhere.

The 360 is actually outdated by PC standards. The Cell isn't. It's more like an arcade machine. It's designed specifically for games.

if you want to see multiple explosions and stuff going on in the background and all sorts of crazy stuff going while streaming media at the same time from blu-ray, the ps3 will kick the crap out of a PC.

Outside of 4-5 multiplats (bayonetta, orange box, Mafia 2, etc) the games look exactly the same. Any difference is something incredibly minute, and just insignificant s*** that a normal human being wouldnt notice, like the 360 version running 60fps to PS3's 58.7fps. Strong "superiority" :roll:

Ive played Red Dead Redemption on both consoles. The game looks exactly the same, even though ive heard lemmings use that as ammo on here. Any difference between multiplats is so insignificant that if that bothers you then you shouldnt even be gaming.

This just makes me laugh because lems basically spit in cows faces when they bring up Killzone 3's graphics, but they get a hard on over a multiplat running 2 frames faster.

It's a solid argument. The differences may not be game breaking, but they're noticable. And cows use this argument for like the 2 multiplats that run better on the PS3. I'm sure you've used it too.

Your post makes the assumption that 1. I am a fanboy, like you, 2. That I actually give a damn about a console war, and 3. that I only game on 1 system ;)

To any normal non system-warrior, a game on 360 running 2 frames faster is not noticable unless you recorded both systems running side by side with a capture card, then spent all day analyzing screenshots from Lenz of Truth. Any normal human being in the real world wouldnt give two s***s. Whats funny, is that if this were a thread comparing Killzone 3 and Halo Reach's graphics, you would be saying the opposite ;)

And the Xbox360 has alot of exclusives that are well recieved. Along with better multiplats. So the PS3 having a much better library is a load of bull as far as I'm concerned.

PS3 exclusives: 1 AAAA, 8 AAA, 18 AA, 17 A

360 exclusives: 8 AAA, 17 AA, 17 A

44 for PS3, plus an AAAA on it's side while 360 has 42. I am not counting PSN/XBL since GS does not review every game from there. Also keep in mind the sheet has not been updated since May I believe, so some titles are missing. PS3 would have an even further lead if that were the case.

PS3 exclusives + multiplats: 300

360 exclusives + multiplats: 366

Those extra 66 are PC/360 or 360/Wii multiplats the PS3 obviously did not receive. The numbers in () I'll be putting below is a number to represent who has the best of what.

In short, 360 for multiplats (3) but it's last in exclusives (1). PS3 for the most balanced amount of exclusives (2) and multiplats (2.) Wii if you just want exclusives (3) since it wins with it's numbers but dead last in multiplats (1) (which is why it's the best to pair with PC.) You're right, it is a load of bull since every console comes out with a (2/3) score. It comes down to what you're looking for. Also we can't determine the exact diversity of genres between platforms because no one wants to count those.

Consolites say the same thing when we present those visual differences; which are much, much bigger on PC than between consoles; yet they claim it doesn't count/doesn't matter/some other excuse. Why should either get to use it for their platforms if they don't want to use it fairly.

Worse controller, same multiplats, Netflix usage is free and you aren't being charged for a charged service, DLs are the same, Sony also pays for exclusive/timed content.

Don't think the hardware is designed for multimedia like the 360? That's completely 200% false. Blu-Ray player and 7.1 uncompressed audio via HDMI. It's far more suited. Not to mention the plethora of media card inputs and USB ports.

Yeah you are. We all know it so there's no use in denying it. The PS3 also has more high-scoring exclusives than the 360. It might even have more multiplats too but I'm not 100% on that.

Blu-Ray is superior to netflix in every way, so many people care. This is also blog material really.

How many more high scoring exclusives does the ps3 have? 2? The 360 more than makes up for that by having 7 more high scoring downloadable exclusives. So, assuming you own a gaming PC, the PS3 would be the worst choice of the three.

I don't count the PSN/XBL titles, because not all of them are ever reviewed and they don't include XBLA/VC/PSN VC in their spreadsheets. So PS3 still wins unless I'm wrong about them not scoring all of them. I also count high scoring from A and onward.

That doesn't make up for the 360 really having a drought in exclusives this year for the Fall quarter. I mean Gears 3 was delayed just so it'd have more, which doesn't matter because it releases a few days before Fall anyway so it's a summer title.
