I'm not saying the ps3 is bad. I like my ps3. I just think as far as most things the 360 is better. The ps3 does have those exclusive games that are better. But as far as everything else the 360 is better for general purpose. Not to make this a japan vs US thing but how these consoles were designed has a lot to do with that. The ps3 is better tech in specific ways but in the real world or in my world over here in the United States, it's really not. Microsoft is more savvy at certain things especially when it comes to the US and what we want. What developers want. Etc.

Like someone said they are both actually very similar. But for most tasks the 360 does things better. Why would i play a multiplat or dload games on the ps3 when it comes down to it or listen to music or dload movies when the 360 does these things just a little better. I'm not saying the ps3 is bad at these things. It's actually more than sufficient. But if you have both the 360 is just better at most tasks.

Yes the ps3 has those special games that push the envelope a bit more than the 360. That's why i own one. I wanted to play those games. Whether that is going to warrant people to continue to purchase the ps brand is anyone's guess though.

If i were in Japan it might be completely different. Maybe psn is more responsive over there. Maybe there are more games to choose from. Who knows.

But the reality is the US is a huge market and the PLaystation needs to win over here if they are going to succeed.

Well that's true. Gamers play games. However, PS3 and its games won both "best system" and "console graphics king."

Comes down to preference, & the PS3 has more going for it than just exclusives. However, I do much prefer the 360 in most areas. I finished the exclusives I liked on my PS3 & then sold it; I didn't like the XMB or controller & preferred achievements over trophies so there wasn't much reason for me keeping it. With that said, I'm probably going to have to buy another one for HD SotC & Journey..

If you only game on a 360 you are mission about 30 A+ games (PS3 exclusives), if you only game on PS3 you are missing about 60 A+ games (360 exclusives + 360/PC multiplats).
