After the demo of wii fit, people have been saying that nintendo has completely changed and has totally forgotten about its core audience. This thread IS showing that nintendo has NOT CHANGED at all in terms of supporting its core fanbase.

actually, looking back... other people started the 3rd party debate and Nintendofreak_2 defended the Wii. But as for this 3rd party debate, can you agree that it is a step in the right direction? The Wii is getting more 3rd party support than the GC ever did, and a lot of the Wii's support is good. Now, if you can agree with this, this 3rd party debate should be over.

Good point, and I agree 100%. I'm not a fan of console online at all; the PC's still miles above the rest in that respect. And voice chat?? I HAD Xbox Live for a couple of years back before Microsoft dropped the original Xbox like a bad habit, and I usually ended up turning off voice chat (I don't have much patience for foul-mouthed racist 13-year-olds), and on top of that, I could NEVER find any games that matched my filters (Forza was a couple months old at that point too, so there's really no excuse for that)

Shifting implies that the next big hitters after the small games will be better than the other systems ... which is very unlikely.

Didnt seem to stop capcom with dmc4, or whoever it is that makes Ace combat. THAT is shifting focus. These examples for the wii are merely "increasing support".

And Donkey Kong jungle beat was a highlight ... please ... are you only going by sales because that was a junk rip-off/sidetrack of what was possible the ebst platformer on the SNES (no I'm not following the herd on Mario)

DMC4 is the exact opposite of increasing support for the PS3 :lol: The developers were afraid that they'd too much money as a PS3 exclusive and went multiplat.

Nah, i'd venture to say its pretty much fact that the wii is still the worst of the 3 in terms of 3 party support. i mean yea its getting stuff, but its still missing out on the top tier 3rd party stuff ala assassins creed, call of duty 4, oblivion etc etc etc.
