First AC. The information you gathered were actually useful to get best optimal assassination plan, that is if all the info gathering mission were completed. I remember I had to re-read all gathered info for hints to get past without being detected. These made me feel more like role playing an assassin. Plus, each target told their motive and reason when they're dying.
[QUOTE="PCgameruk"][QUOTE="Kevlar101"] Anyone who said Revelations needs a slap..... And I said AC3..... only for gameplay. Its no debate: AC3 has the best gameplay of the series. Its not rough as hell anymore. But for story, AC2 and Brotherhood take the cake.Sushiglutton
Revelations was awesome. So was brotherhood and assassin creed 2. I haven't played one but have played 3 and it sucked. If I had to rate it would probably be AC2>AC:REV>AC:Brotherhood > AC3. AC3 is Super Paper mario bad. It ruined the franchise for meRevelations.
III was worse than the original.

l > ll = Brotherhood > lll > Revelations
AC left me in awe playing through it. ACll & BH didn't give me the same feeling, but were still amazing. AClll was terrible, but unlike Revelations, didn't feel completely unnecessary.
Revelations had the coolest city, and best mission designs. It wasn't a terrible game unlike AC3l > ll = Brotherhood > lll > Revelations

AC3 had the best animations, especially in combat. Damn, some moves were so awesome that I actually went to the trouble of recording them.
That said, gameplay in AC game has never been strong. The parkour is ok and great to look at, but is very simple. That not a problem per se, but it could be more engaging. Combat was ok at best, and that is with the changes AC:B brought, before that it was less than ok. And the stealth? Damn, sometimes I didn't even know if there was any stealth machanics in those games.
AC strength is its presentation, the world they create and its high production values.
AC 2 > AC:BH > AC:R> AC.
Every assassins creed was good except for the 1st one. Haven't played the 3rd one yet.
Some of you are just weird. Seriously. Assassin's Creed 3 improved just about everything from gameplay variety, graphics, general production values, combat mechanics, traversal mechanics, narrative, to setting. Now some of those things are fairly subjective, but let's be honest, some of those things are not reasonably debatable.
The series was growing somewhat stale for me, but Assassin's Creed 3 is fantastic and brought me back. Now I'm actually excited for AC Black Flag.
I think that II is the best. The problem with 3 is Connor, he is a terrible character I haven't even finished the game because I can't stand himKaltherzig
What's wrong with him? Ezio was by far my least favorite. Altair and Connor are both much more relatable for me.
Unpopular choice, but I thoroughly enjoyed Revelations. I could perhaps go to a stretch and say 2 was better because it seemed to have more content, or rather more relevant content, but I did have a blast with Revelations.
The more I look back at AC3, the more sour I feel about buying it day one.
The best overall value/quality is Brotherhood without question... It has the excellent MP and SP... and people, we're talking about ROME here.... amazing game. That said, Assassins Creed 2 is the game most people will likely vote for as it is the game that first got the formular right. You can't go wrong picking either.
yeah, 3 was a let down for many reasons, though I did enjoy the game and played it through... Revelations was also good, but I cant say great... While I enjoyed the backdrop and the collision of Ezio and Altier, The game itself felt like it had a malaise on it... like, been there done that, type feeling....and the tower defense was blahhhhh.... But again, I still enjoyed the game quite a bit. Ive said it before and ILl say it again... Assassins Creed's magic is in its ability to surround the player with things to do within a small distance at all times.... AC3 went wrong when I had to fast travel (yes, fast travel :( ) to other maps and places completely in order to do the most insignificant of tasks.... They took the essence of the game away with that design choice. Sadly, I dont think they even realize it.Unpopular choice, but I thoroughly enjoyed Revelations. I think many people will pick AC2, and for good reason. But personally, my favorite was Brotherhood. The fiction and story hadn't yet taken turns that I didn't like (as later installments did), and I absolutely ate up the multiplayer. It was a blast. Rome could've been better, but I loved building it up, capturing areas, assassinating the Templars that were in the multiplayer portion, and destroying Da Vinci's war machines.
Rome couldve been BETTER!?!?! how? I actually went to Rome last year and could navigate the city based on my knowledge of the game....I think many people will pick AC2, and for good reason. Only beat AC 1, 2 and Brotherhood yet but so far AC 2 it is. I've AC 3 still waiting to be played and I'll probably never play Revelations
