It's already been said many times,but the answer is one week.

I saw the game with my own eyes today at Best Buy. They advertised it to come out the 14th then when I asked the lady had it in her hands, perhaps to check in the merchandise, or maybe for the recall? But said it comes out the 21st. Didn't expect to see a delay :?

Interestingly enough in these situations, theres plenty of people who already have the retail game

my local gamestore got the game very early this week and were selling it for the normal retail price of $59.00(plus tax)

once the manager of the store got a phone about the recent news..price went up $10 bucks :wink:

Seriously, I know sony is doing this to avoid lawsuits but I bet they could have defeated that lawsuit on the ground of free speech in music.

Although It's not the greatest news, it is alright.

I certainly don't want to be buying a game that offends anyone.

Actually guys, you would happen to know that this was not offensive to Islam and I explain this in details in my blog. BTW I'm a Muslim and I know my religion enough to know when it's being offended. This all seems like a bit of an overreactaton to me. On the part of the muslim guy I don't know as I'm 98% ignorant of what actually is offensive to muslims. But recalling all copies worldwide seems a bit much doesn't it? The guy himself only requested a patch, despite being deeply offended for whatever reason.

Do you guys even read what you're writing? Anyways, it's a bummer that this happened. I'm guessing Sony wanted to play it safe and go the "professional" route in order to avoid any sort of religious backlash. I really think this could have been effectively resolved through a patch but it looks like Sony wanted a "permanent" fix. Still, the delay in itself will create backlash from gamers eagerly awaiting the game's release. I hope this doesn't hurt sales as it will inevitably stur up confusion, controversy, and hate towards LBP.

if it's the later option, then I'm still holding on the regular release date. Netherlands isn't usually very carefull with this kind of stuff (censorship)

Yea I know what you mean, but I didn't hear the words until this complaint, I thought it was like any other african song that nobody can understand anything about the lyrics but when I played the game to check if it was BS from the complainer or not I heard the exact same words from Quran.

What I meant by that, it was really hard to listen to what the singer was saying so maybe Sony didn't catch the words.

And they can't release it without perma deleting the song, because alot of muslims like any other countries doesn't have Internet connection to download the patch for example.

I doubt it will be patched, if this were discovered during the ratings process, it could have some involvement in what it would be rated, so it's either to take back all the copies or get an even longer delay and get reevaluated by the ESRB.
