Wrap your head around this: Some popular games are actually as good as the hype suggests. LittleBigPlanet is one of those games.

If they gave out like 5 or 6 10's this year, they would lose all the infintesimal credibility they still have left.

Does this mean the PS3 officially has the best exclusive library so far in 2008? The 360 has zero AAAE's, the Wii has 2 AAAE's and the PS3 has 1 AAAAE and it finally has it's first AAAE.Floppy_Jim

bah, i was looking forward to the game and now it will probably be delayed a week or maybe more. I dont like the reason why it's delayed either. So you're not allowed to have any reference to the qu'ran in anything?

edit: this is just like when OoT was recalled because it had arabic music with the guerudos. They are too sensitive about all this stuff imo and their most orthodox leaders seem to dictate what's acceptable for all of them

Now now, lets not jump to conclusions about religion.

Look-- none of us are happy about the delay. We all understand. But it is for the better.

And its only a few more days. Some of us have been waiting since GDC 2007 (it was originally to be a late 2007 release) to get this game, another week or two won't kill us.

Yeah, in no way do I understand the outcry. I don't see in anyway how it was a bad thing. Not like LBP is a blood-soaked shooter or anything.

But w/e. I'm a little glad it got delayed actually. I've been really busy with scholl and everything so I wouldn't have even been able to play it this week anyway. Next week though, not much work = tons of LBP time. :D

I love the way cows act like MGS4 is some kinda gift from god (of gaming) :roll:.

Personally i've enjoyed some other games alot more than MGS4 so far this year, and yes they scored lower but at the end of the day how does a score effect how much i enjoy a game?.

The bottom line is, MGS4 is a great game, but not the best game this year and it in no way invalidates all the great games that were released on the 360 this year.

I dont usually agree with the whole overrated/underrated crap that goes on, but the way you cows go on about MGS4 and from the impressions the game left me with i'm gonna have to say it, its overrated.

Anyway about LBP, is there any confirmed EU release date yet?, hopefully it'll only be a week like the US got, luckily Fable 2 can keep me occupied until its released (but i'd prefer LBP this friday and Fable 2 next week :cry:).

I'm not ignoring the AAE's, I'm just talking about AAA and above. I do think Gears 2 and Fable 2 will get AAA, but I also think Resistance 2 and Valkyria Chronicles will too. So it looks likely that the PS3 will have the best AAAE+ library for this year. I don't care about scores and I'm not trying to rub it in, I'm just saying what I think will happen.

People have to understand why sony did this. Sackboy is the future sony mascot. That cute adorable little guy has a long future on the Sony Playstation consoles thanks to LBP being a big hit with critics. His ability to dress up as any of the current big game characters make him infinitly useful and relevant to gaming. Sony has found its mario and the last thing they need is any controversy attached to their big money maker. They don't want to read headlines about controversial lyrics. They want headlines about how the sackboy has become a pop icon phenomenon. A one week delay is nothing compared to the months of negative headlines that could have ensued.

I don't think there is any conspiracy here, I just think that they aren't trying anymore :(skektek

I'm 95% sure it's only the PS3 game discs that are region free. BR movie discs aren't region free as far as I know.

Edit: I've just checked on Google and it looks like some BR movies are region free and others aren't.

Nah just kidding mods (don't ban me bro!), looks like it'll be a good game, shame about the delay for those who were looking forward to it, and it got the one bad point I was expecting it would get, quite difficult to make levels. Some people could be quite surprised and overhwlemed when they get it if it's how it's seemed in the gameplay vids.
