This video here, this is what makes up about 80-85% of Quantum Break's gameplay, most of the game you're actually in shoot outs and doing things that are entertaining driving the game forward, the minority of it is looking for clues, solving puzzles, platforming, walking around and things being "cinematic".

You would know this, IF YOU ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAME....

I'm not ignoring the show, the show has nothing to do with the game play, the two are completely separated and it's optional to watch it if you want to or not. If you eliminate the show from the equation; Quantum Break's game play is scaled at the level Max Payne's is, it's at the forefront of the experience.

You don't know this because you have not played it, the game play is scaled and paced properly.

I know I personally enjoyed the cutscenes in MGS4. It's a great game. Then again, I am a fan of stealth games.

C'mon man, QB has regular cut scenes as well and not so long as to cause the controller to turn off but these two things are as different as fire and water.

I see this all over the web though. Angry Joe, Boogie2988 and many other "content creators" bitched about long, 30 minute cutscenes while also mentioning there is a T.V. show playing out through the game. It's like they move the goal posts in order to bitch about something. One minute they acknowledge the existence of the episodes that play out between chapters, and then the next they complain about 30 minute cutscenes. Well which one is it???


QB was a forgettable game imo so I won't fight this one too much.

@goldenelementxl: Actually, it's the perfect dig considering how high off their own collective ass juice they were when MGS4 (an actual good game, mind you) had incredibly long cutscenes.

The whole 'cinematic game' stink resonates to this day. Hell, even in this very thread. I'm just bringing the ruckus where it needs to be brought. That's all. I came to /thread

You guys are the ones saying uncharted 4 is mediocre, like a 5/10. The gunplay is done better in other games? Like what? The gunplay is fine. Story-driven games pacing always feels a little slow because you want to get to the next part of the story. It may not be a 10/10 but calling it mediocre is ridiculous.
