[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"] An example that completely failed at getting the point across.DragonfireXZ95

No, it got the point across.

In fact there were other posts other than mine showing how you could easily play a WiiU in your car.

No, yours didn't. You can't play the Wii in the car without a screen, so unless you have an 80,000 dollar Escalade or something, good luck with that.. I could see the Wii U, but not the Wii. Yours was just a failed google attempt with no real back up to prove anything.

Actually it doesn't have to be an Escalade many vehicles now have the option for a TV from the dealership.

My uncle used to have to bring a TV w/DVD/VCR all in one in the car on vacations they just plugged it into the cigarette lighter; Now some vehicles have multiple ports to plug devices in.

One vehicle my parents had it had 3 different cigarette lighters so the people in the back could use it for there devices.

No, Nintendo should have really prepared a line up to overshadow the competition. They allowed sony, who literally showed nothing to get away with it, when they just needed to drop two new interesting core IPs to win.

Apparently it's not innovative enough to impress SWers busy playing generic FPS # 246.

Yes, this is totally lame. However, if we've learned anything from the Wii and motion controls in games, it is that sometimes the best thing youc an do is use new innovations minimally. I would rather Nintendo do what works instead of trying to implement a bunch of crappy touch screen features that do more to take away from the game than add to it.

They dropped Mario Kart and Smash bros. They aren't new IP's but name recognition is important when moving units. It doesn't matter what I say though. Regardless of how rational I am you will blindly hate nintendo.

Yep, the best wii games from Nintendo barely use waggle. I guess they realized how limiting it truly was for any game that requires precision.

Yes, less iterations. There are less Mario Karts in a 20 year period than there are Call of Duty in a 10 year period.

EDIT:

And Mario Kart is far from generic. It's the crown king of the kart genre that it created. It's only until recently that certain games (Sonic All Stars, Modnation Racers, and in the distant past - Crash Bandicoot) attempted to mimic the game's play style.

Your OG post makes no mention of COD and encompasses all FPS shooters. Implying that they're all the same... Idiotic logic on your part considering the amount of racers currently flooding the market. But then again hypocrisy is synonymous with SW.

Yes, because all other racers employ the same mechanics as Mario Kart. And racers are nowhere in abundance as FPS. And even then Mario Kart stands out in that 'sea of racers currently flooding the market.' Once you've played one FPS nowadays, you've pretty much played them all. There's barely any difference between games, just new locales and a different skin. The genre is highly saturated.

"Yes, because all other racers employ the same mechanics as Mario Kart." The same can be said for pretty much every FPS currently on the market in relation to COD. Even MK adopting gimmicks that were first introduced in Diddy Kong racing 15+ years ago. Outside of the gravity gimmick, the only thing differentiating MK from the last few are the new improvements in the online space. Improvements that we probably have seen in other racers for the past 10 years. Lets just be honest and admit, you, like most people here, judge Nintendo on a much lower standard than everyone else. Complaining about originality from the FPS genre in a MK8 thread, really? Sipping that Nintendo kool-aid, eh?

I it also has an option for a Mini-map; Their is a button on the bottom-right of the gamepad screen so you can switch to the minimap and leaderboard.

It's also a steering wheel which is kind of the main function of the game.

I sense the desperation though. MK8 looks so good that you need to try for the low hanging fruit.

Free beer.

For GD1551, a Nintendo system could give him free blowjobs and pay Him a million bucks every week just to turn it on, and he'd find a reason to criticize it and spin it into something bad.

No lie, I'd pay the $349 for that. MAKE IT HAPPEN, NINTENDO. On topic: lame.

There is you can press a button on the touch-screen and it would either be a horn or mini-map/leader board like the DS and 3DS versions.

A rear view mirror would have been very nice. I mean, there are objects that you drop and shoot backwards. Being able to see behind you would be very useful.

Ah, I figured. So far, Mario Kart 8 looks pretty damn awesome. Definitely a system seller.
