How many times do i need to remind y'all that this is a 95% guaranteed banger? HOW MANY? I have heard many on GS say that the art style looks generic, and the vid below has clearly shown how far from the truth that is. This is the most detailed rpg i've seen. Im playing this now and the sixthaxis review is absolute rubbish. From the few hours I have played I would definitely give it an 8.

Lies of P is dogshit. It has no qualities at all. If Lords of the Fallen is anywhere on par, it means that yet again, a souls-like can never be good, they're all shit.

@mesome713: I agree, was just saying the 4/10 from sixthaxis is balls. Its not quite as good as the souls games (but nothing is)

And ign gave it an 8, which is my score prediction for GS. If it gets that, then its exactly what i expected and the best it could've been. In other words, worth buying 100%. Most fromsoft games are a 9/10, so i hope people weren't expecting some soulslike from a noname dev to achieve the same score🤷‍♂️

Am interested in playing this someday but Lies of P absolutely killed it. Lies of P turned out being just as good as FromSoftware’s best games and is currently in my top three 2023 GotY contenders.

The only 95 i hyped is 95p Metroid 4 would run at if it came out on the Switch🤣

Its interesting how pretty much every 3d soulslike game flops. Barring Lies of P and of course, the ones made by FromSoft themselves.

Of course it is. THey fuckup the animations 100% of the time. They have zero atmosphere. They can never have good voice actors, and the writing is always shit. Level design is always so far behind Fromsoft's, its not even in the same dimension. Then, as if this wasn't enough, the large majority of these games have zero enemies variety, so you end up killing the same 3-5 mobs the whole game. Also, lies of p is garbage. The fail at literally everything mentioned above.

Also, stop playing DkS3, and go back to your 2d side scrollers. Thank you.

That's a load of baloney. For Starfield you were only interested in the negatives, for Redfall, for Halo, ... The list goes on and on.

Whatchu mean? I've listened to a ton of reviews about Starfield, negative and positibe, but because the game is heavily flawed, of course there's signicantly more negatives thanpositives. Also, i've spent over 1k hours with Bethesda games, i know EXACTLY what to expect from Starfield, ES6 and whatever they release after. None of this applies to the lords of the fallen developer, and all i know for a fact is that the original lords of the fallen was an unplayable POS.

Look, I'm planning to look into Lords of the Fallen reviews too, eventhough I already know the game isn't for me because it's a souls like.

The point is: what is the point of going into reviews claiming to be unbiased when you already know you're going to dislike a game?

Didn't see Lies of P soaring high on Steam but I do wish the game all the best, it's not good when a single dev dominates a genre.

You post on this site for a while, don't tell me that you haven't seen me defending Starfield since the very beginning. I was one of the very few who was, and for years. When it came out, and i see how little has evolved, that just killed it for me. Nothing pisses me off more than a developer that barely evolves their games, ESPECIALLY when its a massive dev that took half a century to release their game. It makes zero sense.

If lords of the fallen is not what i thought it is, don't even dream about me damage controlling its failures. I'll be the first to shit all over the game.

Honestly folks, I'm m not hating here, but this genre has been stagnated at this point IMO. Look for something new, like God of War 2018’s style or back to the hack 'n' slash genre. This genre has shoehorned itself into more of less the same aesthetics, the same play style, the same wooden animations and limited mechanics.

Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice was unique and I love the game, but this kind of genre needs to innovate more and it's why I'm not feeling it with Lords of the Fallen. If anything, I'm far more interesting in Black Myth: Wukong to be honest.

Don't kid yourself Hardwenzen, Lies of P kinda took any hype away from Lords of the Fallen and not to mention, it's on Game Pass. Lords of the Fallen isn't on Game Pass.

There is plenty of variety and diversity to cover for one Dev (FromSoft). But there just isnt enough room for variety for other devs to find their own niche. FromSouls tend to rely on a few very interconnected mechanics. And no one executes these as well as FromSoft themselves.

That said, there is plenty of room to learn from FromSoft's design and implement it in their own mechanics. This is sorta the WoW-clone mmo era all over again.'

There's several cool souls like games, this doesn't happen to be one of them. Not a big deal, luckily we have Lies of P released at around the same time.

There's plenty of great, good, and acceptable soulslike games out there. The problem is the fans are so diehard that they're not really willing to give anything that isn't Fromsoft an honest chance. And there is no real casual marketplace for these games from what I see.

They could actually play a game that's better than any Dark Souls or Elden Ring game and if it's not Fromsoft, they probably wouldn't admit it was a better game. Hell, they might even penalize it for being better than Fromsoft while not being Fromsoft lol.

For whom? Lies of P is in the The Surge, Jedi Survivor, Mortal Shell and all of this shovelware not worth paying attention to, are in the same dumpster. If this was the standard for a souls game, i would never care about the genre whatsoever. If Lords of the Fallen is like it, then the game will be in the same dumpster, and the hope of another developer other than fromsoft releasing a good soulslike is yet again vanished for generations.

So i listened to this, which is a posdcast of a dev from the game, with souls content creators mainly criticizing his game, and the main concern is the online play, which the dev is working to fix and its currently their main priority. They're listening to a shitload of feedback, so there's that.
