It was too blurry for me to see those colors. They probably made an appearance like once.I like how Crysis 2 looks more because it actually has more color to it.
Killzone 2 does look awesome, though.
I'll wait until DF compares them. LoT ain't that great.
DarkLink77
If DF does a comparison, it'll most likely be between Killzone 3 and Crysis 2. Even better than that should be the 360/PS3 versions!
As for LoT's comparison: KZ2 is too dark and blurry, so I can't tell :P.

If I remember the Helghast eyes had red and the ISA for some reason had glowing blue lights on them. That was it really. The game was so bland, black, grey, quick flash of red eyes, black, grey, etc.talk about brainless ''comparisons''they are comparing the final product vs a work in progress..that Crysis 2 demo is some really old build, yet they don't realize the tech behind crysis 2 is ahead of that of kz2.
Why does a game have to have every color of the spectrum to please you? Killzone 2 was in a setting that called for an art style that lacked pretty colors. Helghan is not a pretty planet. And even so, I thought GG threw in enough colors. The first level looked very good, the one where you crash on the beach? In the levels that took place at night as you were invading the city, the orange and yellow fires provided a very noticeable contrast to the rest of the scene and was very pleasing to the eye. The fantastic lighting that threw strokes of green and purple across your screen, did no one notice that? It's not about having your screen explode in a rainbow of colors for 12 hours straight. GG peppered in the right amount of color at the right times for the game that they were making. Maybe if you play games for color, then... I dunno. Stop.Not-A-StalkerMan,everytime I see your name I can´t avoid thinking you´re actually a stalker trying to inconspicuously mislead people into thinking you aren´t one. :P
Anything where user input is transfered into REALTIME (ie; you can move the camera or you can move through the environment) movement on screen is rendered in realtime. Just about the only thing you will see in these games that aren't rendered in realtime are cutscenes and opening credits/intro movies etc.Killzone 2 isnt rendering everything in realtime. alot of stuff is prebaked. Where as with Crysis 2 mostly everything is in realtime

Man,everytime I see your name I can´t avoid thinking you´re actually a stalker trying to inconspicuously mislead people into thinking you aren´t one. :P See that's how I get yeh. The girls, they fall for it no problem. Clearly a man who IS a stalker wouldn't go around saying he ISN'T one, putting the idea in people's heads that it was ever a question! Then when they least expect it, boom. They wake up the next morning chained in my love dungeon, no where to go.[QUOTE="Not-A-Stalker"]Why does a game have to have every color of the spectrum to please you? For that video my eyes shifted to C2 almost the entire time...better colors with more interesting environments and better non pre-baked lighting is more appealing to my eyes I guess...

Many things in the game are not calculated on the fly or "real-time" in killzone 2, for example the ambient occlusion in kz2 is baked into the models whereas C2 has realtime SSAO, and Killzone 2 uses prebaked lighting for much of the enviroment lighting from the sun and such using lightmaps, which are precalculated lighting solutions.Killzone 2 isnt rendering everything in realtime. alot of stuff is prebaked. I'll start by saying its kinda pointless comparing a finished title with a demo version.. However I think many gamers are used to Crysis1 on PC and its amazing visuals, therefore seeing C2 running on consoles they feel unimpressed...
I still believe C2 will look great on consoles however it might not be on par visually with KZ3...
*takes a smoke from pipe* Yes quite :P[QUOTE="worknow222"][QUOTE="Zophar87"]
I rest my case. ;)

Would that not just be a limitation of the engine/hardware then? you either havent played the game or else you got the brightness/contrast settings wrong :P
good luck with that, specially here. It's just their opinion, and they even say that at the end of the article. So there's no need to take anything they say as fact. :P

[QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"]good luck with that, specially here. Lets see a Kz2/3 mod with cryengine 2 or 3. Then see the comparison. It's just their opinion, and they even say that at the end of the article. So there's no need to take anything they say as fact. :P

I don't know why people think KZ2 looks good. Looks horrible to me. The textures are so bad and the blur effect is overdone.
inb4 the one or two good ground textures that KZ2 has.
I'll get hated on for this but to me Black Ops is a far more visually appealing game in the SP campaign (the MP looks horrible though). So much more colour, environments and sharper textures. Decent lighting too and it all runs at 60FPS.
Edit: Also, in the LOT comparison vid, to me Crysis 2 looks like a much better game graphically.

Stop.Not-A-StalkerFirst of all use the enter button a bit more. Secondly I'm not saying that every game has to be super mario sunshine, it is just that IMO KZ2 graphics are overrated. Every place looked the same, the colour scheme never differed at all.

I think its still too late which CONSOLE GAME has the best graphics, cause Crysis 2 isnt even out yet, and we are all just playing a buggy beta version.
the worst possible out come is that Crysis 2 ON CONSOLES has great campagin graphics but dumbed down MP graphics.
I could careless, as long a game looks good, and runs well then theres nothing to complain about.
