LoT: Killzone 2 vs Crysis 2. Killzone 2 wins

The problem is they compared XBOX version of Crysis 2 to Killzone 2. As we all know, X-BOX 360 simply isnt powerful enough to present the level of graphics that can be seen in Killzone 2. Crysis 2 still looks stunning for an XBOX game though. If Crytek manages to use the full potential of PS3, its likely the PS3 version of Crysis will look better than Killzone 2.

Killzone 3 is around the corner though, so I think PS3 will remain the FPS graphics platform of choice even in 2011 :-)

I don't know why people think KZ2 looks good. Looks horrible to me. The textures are so bad and the blur effect is overdone.

inb4 the one or two good ground textures that KZ2 has.

I'll get hated on for this but to me Black Ops is a far more visually appealing game in the SP campaign (the MP looks horrible though). So much more colour, environments and sharper textures. Decent lighting too and it all runs at 60FPS.

Edit: Also, in the LOT comparison vid, to me Crysis 2 looks like a much better game graphically.

I'll keep repeating this...

The game is blurry, grainy, has poor textures, has low-poly structures in the environment and mixes it in with 7 different colors of gray yet somehow it is looked upon as a graphical powerhouse. I don't understand how people prefer this game to Crysis 2. I guess most people don't like cleaner looking, sharper looking graphics.

I am gonna get flamed for saying this,but I think Crysis 2 looks better.KZ2 uses the heavy blur to hide its low res textures.Look carefully through the lens and you will see.

This is a given for Crysis 2 console and KZ2.. Though I still find it amusing that the guns from KZ seem to be from the 20th century.. What did all the gun companies in the future go bankrupt? Don't get me wrong, I like KZ2 but I played it the other day and It was like playing COD in slow motion... I'd like to know what framerate that game actually runs at.

am I the only one that remembers the Crysis 1multiplayer demo/beta for the PC that came out just a couple months before release? It locked out DX10 and very high settings. So the mp beta/demo DID NOT LOOK AS GOOD AS THE FULL GAME. Not saying this is the case here for the 360, just saying Crytek has downgraded graphics in their demo/betas before.

too bad i have killzone2 and crysis 2 beta. crysis 2 graphics are way better, the draw distance in better, plus godray's are superior to killzone2's static godways. the shadows are about 10x better on crysis 2 than killzone2. BTW KILLZONE3 GODRAYS SUCK STILL STATIC CRAP LIKE KILLZONE2.haahahafdgfgfdg

Coming from someone complaining about Killzone 2 being colorless and useing tricks to hide lack of detail, I'm suprised you love a game that is 90% black shadows, and the rest mostly grays and browns with some glowing blue lights on your character...

Keep in mind Crysis 2 has a lot more color. That plays a role in performance too.

That video absolutely kills KZ2's graphics.

Keep in mind Crysis 2 has a lot more color. That plays a role in performance too.

Really...? I could be wrong, but I honestly don't see how color would effect performance enough to make any notable difference... Then again, I'm not a tech guy, but I don't see how color would effect performance in any way (I can understand lighting effects and such, though).
