For those who complain about the presence of Skrull & Taskmaster and the absense of Ghost Rider, Iron Fist and Black Panter, here is what S-Kill says which is pretty much true. "When you look at characters like Ghost Rider, and Iron Fist, and Black Panther, those are great characters but it's the backstory that makes them. From a gameplay point of view they're all just punchy dudes. We didn't want you to be able to say, 'this guy is just another one of this guy but a little faster or with a different fireball'. So that was the final pass" that Capcom took off the Marvel list. "So Taskmaster wound up pretty fun cause we could take a little from a lot of characters. Super Skrull was another that came up like that, we originally had all of the Fantastic Four on the roster, and coming up with gameplay for Invisible Woman was, you know..." LastRambo341

Mr. Fantastic, Black Bolt, Thanos, Black Panter, Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange. Not a single X-Men there and they are all much more important and relevant than MODOK and Dormamu.

Why the f*** would they add Mr. Fantastic when they have Super Skrull? He can do everything Mr. Fantastic can and more.

It has nothing to do with relevance. It's about gameplay. Thanos was in MvC2 and sucked. Black Panther is not that relevant or worth putting in a fighting game.

Dr. Strange and Silver Surfer I agree with. Especially Dr. Strange since Dormammu isn't even as powerful as him despite many tries. Silver Surfer apparently they wanted to put in but couldn't incorporate his board so they opted not to.

You can sit here and b**** about "waaaah they didn't put in this character or that character" but if that's all your playing the game for, read a comic instead. As long as the gameplay is solid I don't give a s*** if they have a 5 character roster consisting of the most irrelevant characters ever. You shouldn't either, considering you're on a video game website which is for gamers. You know..people who PLAY games and should worry about GAMEPLAY and not graphics or anything else.

If we are talking special moves(since thats what you listed)then it still doesint make sense. Since ghost rider isint puncy in that aspect he can use his chains or bike or fire move or penet stare or something els I missed. But talking about just in genrial movement and pressing square dont hulk and she hulk punch and kick thus making them punchy too.

You can defend all you want, but truth is some of those a poor choices of characters, they could've done better with some and way better with some others. Now I'm not really complaining about any other character but MODOK. That's LAME.

The thing is (knowing Capcom) they probably did this so they could release all the cool characters via DLC. And then, one year after the version with all characters included... and more characters as DLC.

You know, it's funny. The people complaining about the roster are the people who haven't even touched the game. Everyone was disappointed in the roster because they added in "nobodies" instead of "relevant" people and yet when these players got their hand on the game, they instantly fell in love with most characters.

I'm not going to blindly accept Capcom/Marvel's reasons for excluding certain characters but I'm also not going to b**** just because personal choices aren't in there. Deadpool finally got some love for once so I'm happy. I'm extremely disappointed Gambit, Blackheart aren't in or even Cyclops (leader of the X-Men but he's not even in the game) but I'm happy people like Deadpool, Dante, Wesker, Dormmamu got their chance. While some of the people may not be the most widely known characters, it's better than having "clones"

People wanted Ken, Venom, etc. but what's the point? They would play extremely similar to Ryu, Spiderman or whoever their respective counterpart is.

Servbot should be in this game though. I used to love trolling MvC2 him..

Again you talking about special moves so of course its diverse. So again the puncy comment makes no sense when he brought up some ofthe other characters since they can do specials that can also make them diverse. Also when I say speciall moves i mean like qcf+sqaure type moves. Not the uber ones.

Dr. Octopus would have been an amazing addition, besides Gambit, another character that i would definetely buy for DLC, IMO is a much more important villian than Green Gobling.

GG was the quintescential Spider-man enemy before Venom came to be... the fact that they keep bringing him back and that has a few copy-cats in the spidey universe means something.

Also there was a reason on why he was chosen as the villian for the first movie, just like the joker was chosen for TDK.

He probably knows that, but what he is referring to is that alot of people (especially from the 90s) are asking for X-men and street fighters. Now there's nothing wrong with that however there are alot of x-men and street fighter characters already in the game. Which is probably why he made that comment. While they may not be ideal (I don't particularly care for X-23), I'd like to see some more unfamiliar faces in the mix. I'd really really like to see doctor strange in here, both shuma and dormammu made the cut! WRU STRANGE!!

He wanted Rogue, Cyclops, Emma Frost and Gambit instead of Dormammu, Super Skrull, She Hulk and MODOK.

From the X-Men universe alone, with his proposed roster (as well as every other crybaby who hasn't even given the game a chance yet) the Marvel side would consist of

Magneto, Phoenix, Storm, Sentinel, Wolverine and X-23. That's already 6 from the X-Men universe in 16 available slots. He also wanted the four I named earlier. That's 10 out of 16. Do we really need 63& of Marvel's character slots going to X-Men? Yeah, because you know, other universes don't exist at all right?

I'm a HUGE X-Men fan and I'm already disappointed that X-Men gets 1/3rd of the Marvel roster already. There's no need for any more.

It's an improvement over X-Men vs Capcom 2 though, although I would prefer they acknowledge their other universes.

MvC2..I used a variety of chars like Wolverine (he was terrible because of his defense), Guile, Zangief, Sabertooth, Bison, Charlie, Doom, maybe Megaman etc
