not eve that the main important aspect is that nintendo was selling the 3ds for an insane amount of profit in the beginning they had the opportunity to cut the price, vita is already at a loss

I'm certain the PsV sales will pick up. Just give it a few months. IF they drop the price in the coming months, and IF it still doesn't sell, that's when it will be an appropriate time to worry.

Not looking good... but bring it stateside, and wait till the FFXHD reboot comes out before you call it doomed. Not sure 1 game is enuff tho... my PSP turned into my PSone Classicconsole from all the PSN releases. Im not getting dooooped again till they show me something.

I knew the vita would end up having to fight an uphill battle right out of the gate.

Yip it dosnt look good for the psv, stupid name to begin with, who actually likes saying the word "Vita", I just call it the psp2 and when I tell people about the Vita there like "What???" until I say, "Oh the psp2". Anyway lets see how America and the rest of the world treat it before writing it off. From this start we can all safely assume that it wont catch the 3ds in sales, ever.

Ouch Mario & Monster Hunter pushing those 3DS sales. My tastes generally fall in line with Japanese gamers but not when it comes to those two franchises. PS Vita is the better system shame it's selling poorly. Sony should've never let Nintendo throw down the cash for Monster Hunter they most likely would've been neck and neck or just slightly behind the 3DS.FlamesOfGrey

The 3DS sales numbers are very impressive. Too bad most of the games so far are garbage and this is coming from someone who picked up a 3DS at launch. I'll be picking up a Vita on launch as well.

3DS is really strong now. It still has not even revealed a ture Pokemon or Dragon Quest game yet, which will help fuel the 3DS fire.

Vita is having quite a hard time. What we're probably seeing is a splitting of the PSP sales and in addition to a launch lineup consumers don't find compelling, perhaps the SEGA effect: the fact that support is being split between platforms is hurting them.

Pretty much.

Outside of sales, the software of Vita is in the same ballpark with the 3DS. Hardware, PSV is definitely better (albeit more expensive).
