I think both games will score the same, mgs has a better story and i prefer it's gameplay, but gta is addicting and will almost certainly crush MGS4 in sales because it's multi-platform

MGS IV is the best.... now with the online features it will be even better...

Never been a huge fan of the GTA series though played all games, but something tells me GTA IV is gonna be a great title..

Still though MGS IV > the rest !!!

How can you compare the 2??? they are both completely diferent.

What if you only have $60 to buy one game and your two options are GTA4 and MGS 4?

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots easily beats Grand Theft Auto IV. Why? Because I prefer it, alot of people will prefer Grand Theft Auto 4 because of the violence, sex and explicit 'Cool' themes but for me, finding out what happens to Solid Snake is more important.thrones

Of course there is sex (EVA! :D) violence (Well..duh) and cool (omg, giant robots :D) themes in Metal Gear Solid. It's just alot more explicit in Grand Theft Auto IV, you know the entire thing is named after a criminal offense and it focused around robbing stuff, stealing cars and killing people. I'm getting both by the way, but if I had to choose Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots all the way.

Yes I am reading this and yes you like STALKER.

for me its MGS4, GTA is always the same, GTA 3 waas good, vice city was great, but when san andreas came out it was all the same stuff, flying aeroplanes got boring, it was all just the same stuff.

GTA4 will be good, but apart from better graphics it wont be any different to the others.

I will still get both though, though TBHits all down to personal preferance you cant compare these 2 games they are totally different.

so GTA4 < > MGS4 (since they both have their advantages and disadvantages)

both should be incredible, but after that last trailer, GT4 has more of my attention.

4 hours of gameplay and 25 hours of cut scenes

gta 4 will be huge a far superior storyline that doesnt need the game to be 80% cut scenes to tell

far superior gameplay and an overall far more entertaining experience

sorry mgs fans but there are bigger titles this year that are going to over shadow mgs including gta4 and others

4 hours of gameplay? Actually, in Metal Gear Solid 3 it was around 13/14 hours of gameplay and 2 hours of cutscenes. A massive ratio for games perhaps, but alot less than what some people claim...
