MGS 4 > GTA IV (POLL)

IMO, in order for GTA4 to out sell or top MGS4, then it has to be better then San Andreas. GTA4 looks too much like GTA3......theme wise.Vectah_Sigma

GTA will easily outsell MGS, considering it's on ps3 and 360, MGS doesn't stand a chance.

Nice opinion. Even when rushing through the game it will take more then 4 hours. The first time on medium difficulty takes around 10 hours. On hard it takes 12-15 for the average player. MGS4 will be a longer game so it will be around 20 and theres also online portion. MGS 4 is bigger then GTA IV will ever be.

I vote MGS4 but its really close. They are quite different games though a Sandbox shooter and a Stealth shooter.

Anyways though at the time of writing GTA4 is wining by 2 votes.

4 hours of gameplay? Actually, in Metal Gear Solid 3 it was around 13/14 hours of gameplay and 2 hours of cutscenes. A massive ratio for games perhaps, but alot less than what some people claim...

i could easily clock mgs 1 2 or 3 in under 4 and a half hours if i wanted to

and the metal games are mostly cut scenes

bet u anything mgs4 wont be more then 5 maybe 6 hours of actualy gameplay

at least mgs1 was a decent game but the rest are trash

kojima should have been a novelist or a director instead of a game developer since mgs 2 and 3 are more like interactive movies instead of games

Very tough one, and although I'm really excited for MGS4, GTA has been my best gaming experience next to SOCOM. For me, it goes like this:

1. SOCOM
2. GTA
3. MGS

I don't think they're at all comparable. Although I doubt that MGS4 will sell as much as GTA4 on opening day.

The only reason I actually voted for MGS4 is do its consistency as a story. I can extract fun from a lot of things (as I no doubt will do with GTA4), but very few games can give me the kind of philosophical depth that MGS4 can.

GTA IV Especially now with the Online gameplay.

I have had every GTA game to date and every MGS game to date I love them both but I have just played GTA a lot more I played each MGS game for maybe 25 hours each but i have put 100 hours on each GTA game at least its a game you can just turn on and play.
