I swear, if Solid Snake is the hero and it takes place after 5 and there isn't some terrific explaniation why the game I loved years ago was essentially filler than I will be PO'd.
What happened to Zone of Enders 3DS? I mean, he tweeted a friggin' picture with ZOE 3DS in the back ground of a ZOE figurine. WTF!
Why even bother after MGS4? I mean, how much more can you ruin the series, Kojima?

It was one of the best games this gen Sure, if you like watching a game single-handedly destroy an entire series.
While I loved 4 and played the heck out of MGO, I understand what you're saying and I think the gaming community ignores a lot of its flaws for some reason.
It is a flawed, albeit awesome game that isn't for everyone and it isn't even suited for some long time Metal Gear Solid fans
At some point, the hour long cut scenes and 10 minute installs you ask yourself "couldn't they have found a better way so I didn't have to tolerate this?", at this point some of us put down the controller while others keep playing.

I loved Peace Walker. Make MGS5 more like that. Plenty of replay value, comprehensible and emotional story, and I even preferred the comic book cutscenes to those in MGS4.

Sure parts of MGS4's plot were awful especially the liquid/ocelot twist but it was still an amazing game. Why try and disprove someone's opinion.BigBoss255

Can't imagine Snake starring in this game at all, if it's a chronological continuation of the series... It has to be a prequel. There is literally no conflict after the events of MGS4 left in the game's universe.
