Sorry if Skyward Sword didnt meet your standards, but I know a lot of other games were great and stand alongside MGS4

Oh but it does, and I'd much rather play it then sit through some bull**** story, hour cutscenes, and all those install times. I think it takes longer to get through the opening of SS than it takes to beat MGS4.

Nonetheless, regarding the topic at hand, I'm not certain what they could do with MGS 5 to be honest. And also, didn't someone mention that the magazine is asking Hideo about a MGS 5, not an actual confirmation? Guess I'm curious on that point.

Edit: Hmm, so according to said article, it seems to actually exist, though on the magazine cover, it seems that Kojima wants to kill off Snake. Perhaps the game kills off Snake and transitions to Raiden or new character? But if this game is placed after 4, I'm not certain what he would go after really.

Anyone here think Sony might try to tempt Konami to make this a PS3 or PS4 ( MGS5 could turn out to be a next-gen game after all) exclusive? I don't think it will happen, multiplaftorm makes much more sense for this gen.. but if turns out to be a next gen title..well.. it might just happen.. And even in an unexpected way!! Imagine it now " MGS5 Xbox Next exclusive!" XDD Oh the fun we would have on SW! =DDesmonic

That'd make sense. We had MGS2 and MGS3 last gen, MGS4 and MGS:Rising this gen, so MGS5 for next gen? It'd never be an Xbox exclusive :P Xbox just doesn't sell in Japan. MGS4 is the only game that stayed exclusive (excluding those boring PSP games.)

I still think if it was going to be exclusive, it'd go to Wii-U :D

Metal Gear Solid 4 ended epically, but I guess some haters couldn't see the 10/10 masterpiece that it is. Hopefully a 5th or 6th entry will make even the haters realize that its an OOT/SMB killer.

what part of "its your opinion" you didn't get. mgs4 is been praised by reviewers and players alike, imo just continue playing duke, i bet it suits more your taste.

On topic, it can't be snake, hes an awesome main character but his story is over. They could start a new triolgy or something.

At least MGS4 is memorable and entertaining than playing cartoon game with no voice acting and where you cant control it properly.

If cutscenes and stories arnt your thing, then you must hate watching movies also... with no voice acting.. perhaps some sketches or something.

All the best games have some plot or some form.

Being metal gear solid game, its all about the plot alongside the gameplay. Its the whole point...
How else would you know what your doing and why your trying to stop Ocelot and such.

It also allows you to skip, only takes a few minutes to install. You can do something besides staring at the screen for a min or two.

People complaing about install times have no idea how long it takes for an Amstrad cassette computer to load up or the old PC games to install and play.

Some cutscenes along with other readable objects that contain information. Not hour long cutscenes that bore you to death.

Installs are certainly a problem if they happen with every damn playthrough, and given that each section is so damn short it should've been pegged down for that.

have you heard of different genres? welcome to gaming where not every game has to be like the ones you like. no one said mgs4 was more entertaining that zelda, i love both,m but they are both great in a different way. as many people say if you dont like it dont play it.

Let it die, Kojima. MGS4 was awesome, but it paled in comarison to previous MGS. At first the gameplay was incfredible, then after a while, the flaw became more apparent.

And the story... ugh... MGS4 ruined so much.
