What do you use and what are the "Pros and Cons"

Windows, you don't need a Mac. Poeple who actually need a Mac know they do. First of all, there is alot more software on the Windows plataform,
not only videogames. Second, they are ALOT cheaper. You have more likely never used a Mac but have u have used a PC all your life.
I don't get why people say they are better for audio and video, it's the same thing on PC.
Also, don't do what people do, you know, those people that sit on Starbucks all day drinking coffee with their Macs hearing music on their iPones writing poetry and drawing random stuff on photoshop because they think they are cool and stuff, then they realise they cannot use MSWORD and other software and regret buying the Mac but never say it out loud, saying everyone that they knew what they were getting into when they see most software they and other friends use is incompatible.. They are hipsters!
DON'T DO THAT, YOU LOOK STUPID.

I recommend Microsoft as I can do all the things a mac can for half the price.

Easy as hell.

No. PC = PERSONAL COMPUTER. Guess what a Mac is? A personal computer. How can a Mac versus itself?

Sometimes it's better to just not post.
The main point of not buying a Mac is not to pay for their grossly overpriced hardware.[QUOTE="Ross_the_B0SS"]

I can agree with that. I personally like it for video editing though.

Meh. I'm a PC man because Apple products are just plain overpriced.
I was interested in getting a MacBook or MacBook Pro for my school work until I saw the prices and found out that I can build myself a very powerful gaming PC and buy myself a nice laptop for the price of a MacBook Pro. Yeah...screw that.
What are you talking about? You can use MS Word on a Mac. Regardless, OSX is a more stable, more user-friendly operating system. It may not offer the versatility of Windows, but such matters are totally dependent on the individual user and his/her needs. Macs are more expensive, yes, but many people (like me) are willing to spend the extra cash to use OSX.Windows, you don't need a Mac. Poeple who actually need a Mac know they do. The main point of not buying a Mac is not to pay for their grossly overpriced hardware. Excluding people who buy Macs purely for aesthetic or trendy reasons, most people don't buy Macs for the hardware features. They buy Macs because OSX is, in many ways, a better operating system than Windows. It's more stable, it takes less steps to accomplish the same tasks, and it's generally just a more pleasant experience.[QUOTE="Ross_the_B0SS"]

Well said but having the ambient lighting, back lit keyboard and an all aluminum chasis sure doesn't hurt ;)
I have PC and I know that Mac is much better (even though I dont have 1 but I have used it) problem is that Microsoft are being greedy bastards and hogging the PC games making them games for windows only.
You cna have all those things with your PC if you want. (And it would still be a lot cheaper).[QUOTE="MBP_King"]

I don't know what is Bentley, but I do know that I bought a Netbook for $400 and it does everything I want from a laptop.
You cna have all those things with your PC if you want. (And it would still be a lot cheaper). Perhaps, but you still don't have OSX, which is the biggest selling point for Macs. Those other features are just bonuses.[QUOTE="MBP_King"]

But then you would have to say Mac OSX.
But then you would have to say Mac OSX.Ross_the_B0SS
Well. Let's see. Apple makes Macs. Macs are pretty unified. The newest have OSX. Very much unlike Microsoft, who does not make computer hardware. If you sais, "Windows vs Macs" it would make sense, even though you are fighting software vs hardware. But with "PC versus Mac," it makes no sense because Macs are PCs. It makes more sense to say "Windows vs Macs." It's not perfect, because MS doesn't make computer hardware... but it's not innacurate, unlike the current clogan.
Why Windows is better than the Mac
1. PCs are more customizable. For example there is no mid-range Mac, like an $800 desktop Mac tower. There's the underpowered, impossible-to-upgrade mini, the all-in-one iMac, and the overpriced and underpowered Mac Pro. Also, Apple forces you to their customizations - can't get the GPU you want, no Core i7 processors, etc. etc.
2. Not only are PCs more customizable, but more upgradable. In order to upgrade a Mac, what you do is throw the computer away and buy a new one.
3. Not only that, but they are also far more expensive. $599 for that Mac Mini? Please. Even DELL's $599 solution is better than that and it includes a monitor.
4. OS X is a weak operating system that can't run half the programs in the world - no AutoCAD, WinRAR, 3dsMax, Photoshop Elements 7, and much more. Seriously, Download.com has over 60,000 Windows apps compared to like 5,000 Mac apps. Which group do you want to belong too?
5. In addition to that, you also have the gaming problem. No EMPIRE: TOTAL WAR, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, etc. etc.
6. OS X is also very, very unstable. Windows has a reputation of being quite unstable (though Vista proves this wrong), but all you need to do to crash a Mac is open an application and POOF there goes your system.
7. Flash can't even run properly on a Mac. This is a common complaint and I have witnessed it as well.
8. Viruses are a problem on PCs but just get anti-virus software (almost always included anyways or just get a free one) and you'll be OK.
9. The Dock is much inferior to the Windows Taskbar, and Windows 7"Superbar" will officially make the Dock AND Expose obsolete.
10. Macs are slow. Despite being known for editing and graphics, Windows runs Maya, Avid Media Composer, Photoshop, etc. etc. FAR better than the Mac.
11. $1,000 for RAM upgrades? Lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $300 more to make your computer black? LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!
12. $129 for Service Packs. Yeah, Leopard had 152923965 new features but only like 3 were useful (Spaces, Stacks and uhh?)... so that's worth $129? At least Service Packs for Windows are free.
13. Windows 7 will be the final nail in the coffin for OS suX. Apple is a joke.
