Let's be honest, the majority of people who played minecraft pirated it. It's easy to run, has casual appeal. I personally had a lot of friends who played it on their laptops and I know for sure that they didn't buy it.

All of those series' plus GTA originated on PCs and, with the exception of Diablo, all of them were better when combined with mods.

This is especially the case with minecraft as it doesn't take long for it to get quite boring in its vanilla form.

Mods like: Buildcraft, Industrialcraft, Thaumcraft, Applied Energistics, Thermal Expansion, Railcraft, Mystcraft, Twilight Forest, etc. provide the depth that is lacking in the base version, and when they are combined with the community made HD texture packs, the entire game is transformed into whatever the player wants it to be; depending on the mods that they choose to include.

Unfortunately, filthy peasants can't use mods and have to pay for manufactured skins for their character.

Considering that the minecraft on PC costs about 28$ and consoles its 20$. PC still has made more revenue than all the consoles combined.

Wasn't it made by a team of less than 15? I remember some PS fans bragging about it being an indie that won those awards and scores and how it was better than ones on PC. Here and on some other sites, atleast. Sorry if i'm wrong.

A Mac is just a fancy PC. A fancy OS in a fancy shell....... They are all OS's on a PC.....

They're technically an indie dev, but they made Journey under contract by Sony.

Ok, not sure what you're saying but my point is....

How is it that all the (possibly millions) of PC rigs/combos/setups/configs running Minecraft are "one platform" yet the consoles (XB1/PS4/WiiU/XB/PS3) with a total of 5 different rigs/combos/setups/configs are considered different platforms. Shouldn't we just just bundle them together the same way PC users on here are claiming the PC is one platform? Thats my question
