Dat foilage...and shiny-age.
Graphics king for the next 0 months. Crysis EIM still wins IMO. Battlefield 3 has 3 months to go until it BRING THE PAIN and crushes Crysis in visuals.
No. Crysis 2 modded looks at least on par. And no agian, as BF 3 relies too much on "whitish-lighting" effects.Dat foilage...and shiny-age.

CryEngine 3 is superior to Frostbite 2.0 or Unreal 3 (+++).
It happens that Crysis 2, even in dx11, doesn't use it to full potential.
I been wondering, I really hope I don't need a beast to run this. I dont think my future rig can run this
The PC I have right now can play Crysis 2 with DX11 pretty decently 45 FPS and it uses up 1.5GB of GPU ram. So If you want max Crysis you want a graphics card with at least 2GB of ram or more. I would like to see some benchmark on the game but I've yet to find any.

We don't know that really.

No such thing as Crysis 2 modded as there's no mods that improve it on DX11 yet :P
Whitist-lighting effects? Uh, don't know if you know this but those buildings in Iraq/Afghanistan really do reflect like that. I know because I have family stationed over there. It's not a trick, it's that damn bright and shiny.
BF3 will no doubt have the better animation, but doesn't come close to looking as good as some of these screens. Can't wait for a custom graphics config.
This pic just looks unreal. Stalker using this engine would be crazy.

BF3 would look amazing as well if it had ToD art :P

The screens above aren't even Cry Engine 3 at its full potential.DICE is Sweedish, the country which made Volvo.
Crytek is German, the heart of the engineering world.
Go Figure.:P

And both countries have the best looking women :D
DICE also brought the first DirectX 9-only game, which has gun models that are up-to-pat with today and sometimes even better. Pretty much everything except environments held up really well in Battlefield 2 IMO, especially those textures. DICE has always done that exceptionally well.
Crytek murdered Crysis IMO, so I don't care that much anymore :P

America wins this by default as we have women from every country in the world.

To be honest McDonalds is now a part of the daily nutrition of almost every nation in this world. Go to the capital or big cities of any countries (expect those embroiled in conflicts) and you'll know what I mean.[QUOTE="GTSaiyanjin2"]

Hate to break it to you, but you won't be running Crysis 2 in DX 11 on a laptop.[QUOTE="TheShadowLord07"][QUOTE="GTSaiyanjin2"]

You've ruined the joke!
People saying that BF3 will crush Crysis when it comes to graphics. Are you serious? Battlefield 3 is bloom, bloom, bloom and more bloom.001011000101101
Not really. Middle East is really freakin' bright. If advanced lighting techniques = bloom, then why are they advancing from bloom in the first place?
Hate to break it to you, but you won't be running Crysis 2 in DX 11 on a laptop.kraken2109
Nvidia just announced/released their new laptop GPUs that run this at 50-60FPS maxed (In DX11/high res textures I believe.)

Well the recent DX11 stuff is hurting top of the range desktops, and even the best laptops have much weaker GPUs than desktops.[QUOTE="kraken2109"]Hate to break it to you, but you won't be running Crysis 2 in DX 11 on a laptop.ChubbyGuy40

Sounds interesting, but i find it hard to believe when most desktop cards can't do that.[QUOTE="Firebird-5"]

how about you download the crysis 2 sdk and try it yourself

i suppose you will have to wait until modders release videos then. don't call them bullshots because they look impossibly good.

well ok, just be content in the fact that you are wrong. ever since far cry, the sandbox editor has always been real-time. you can edit these, drop in, and play all in real time. but it's ok - it's just a really fast slideshow of bullshots that are generated. about 45-60 a second.
