[QUOTE="RichardStallman"]I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Windows 7, is in fact, Windows Vista SP3, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Mojave Experiment 2.0. Windows 7 is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another marketing scheme by Microsoft to trick users into trying Vista, a full OS as defined by Microsoft. Many computer users run a modified version of Vista every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Vista which is widely used is often called "Windows 7," and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Vista system, developed by Microsoft. There really is a Windows 7, and these people are using it, but it is just part of the system they use. Windows 7 is the Graphical User Interface; the program in the system that lets idiots click on things and think they know how a computer works. The Graphical User Interface is an essential part of an operating system that was made for retards, but useless by itself; it can only appear to have a function in the context of the user not knowing how their OS works. The Windows 7 GUI is normally used in combination with the Vista operating system; the whole system is basically Windows Vista with shinier buttons added. All the so called "Windows 7" users are really users of Windows Vista SP3.ispyamoose
Truly orignial anti-windows 7 nonsense. I guess all the slight overhauls for linux and OS X are the same then. Just "shinier buttons" splashed on an OS "that was made for retards". Bravo sir. Bravo. No one is saying that Windows 7 is revolutionary, because it isn't. It's just as you said; an update and an improvement over Windows Vista.
The difference is that Linux distributions/upgrades are free, and the Mac OS is not nearly as expensive as Windows is. Up until now, Microsoft didn't even offer a family pack, so that several computers in a household could be upgraded for a discount. It's ridiculous for a company to expect people to pay full price for what should have been a service pack for Vista. If a company releases a new upgrade or version, people expect it to be different. Can you name something revolutionary that Windows 7 has introduced to the line of Microsoft operating systems? I thought so.
It's funny, I say right in my last post that Windows 7 did nothing revolutionary yet you skipped right over that to whatever you wanted to hear. And if you were a business with the majority of the market share, you would do the same. It's called smart business and smart marketing. I got Windows 7 ultimate for $10, so i could care less about full price. It's improvements and upgrades are worth it. People will pay for 7 because they hate Vista and Microsoft's stock will rise.Be bitter all you want. They don't care.
