• 2.8 million XBOX 360s sold; LTD of 44.6 million units.

• 3.5 million PS3s sold; LTD of 41.6 million units.
• 35.3 million in software; LTD of 350.6 million units.
• 1.5 million PSPs sold; 11 million in software.
• 1.5 million PS2s sold; 5.6 million in software.

Not bad, a $375 million net income is definitely a step up from their loss of 2009. themyth01

Microsoft sold 1.5 million during Q4 of FY10, so a total of 4.3 million units over the same period as Sony and Nintendo.

The difference is at 2.9 million units.

Microsoft's IR site has them at 44.6 (although last quarter's LTD was 41.7? presumably it's the second data not shown decimal place being rounded up), so that puts it at an even 3 million apart.

The best one can do is take their hardware numbers and tie ratio and multiply them i.e.

LTD = 8.9*44.6 = 396.94 million
LTD last quarter = 8.9*41.7 = 371.13 million

Difference = 25.81 million for the quarter

After what Konami said about PES 2010 selling 700k copies on PS3 in Brazil alone I can tell there is a very big market outside the 3 main region but its not tracked.

Well PS3 still in last place so it doesn't matter :P but hopefully after this Lems will realize the world isn't just NA.

you cant be fanboy about stuf like this can you. Sony have put the hardwork in, seriously decent games coming out on PS3, they deserve to sell PS3s. only thing is that you cant tell the total story because not everything is tracked and we dont know how much spin is given to figures and stuff. aslong as games continue to sell on both consoles at a good rate, its clear both machines are doing well, thats the best we can hope for really.sts106mat

Agreed, except the part about spin. These number are from the latest financial statements released by the three companies over the past couple days. You won't find more accurate numbers, because the companies are the only ones that know exactly what they have shipped out, and lying/fudging/spinning numbers on a financial report carries severe criminal penalties.

I remember the lead for the 360 being almost 3 times as much half a year ago. :P

Tidbits: This is the first financial quarter in which Wii is in third place in sales between the current-gen home consoles.

This is the first quarter in which Sony has had a console on top since October-December 2006, when the PS2 shipped 6.7 million units.

So the PS3 obviously survived the 360 Slim challenge with flying colors.

One question everyone wonders is when, if ever, will the PS3 'finally' surpass the 360? The holiday season will tell us a lot about whether it remains on track to do so with the onslaught of Kinect. The PS3 Slim is old-hat, so the days of year over year growth should finally grind to a halt.

Meeting their expectation of selling 15 million PS3s will still require that they exceed their shipments from October-March last year.
