Hmm yeah. I can't wait until I get the chance to say what plays I want to do out loud in Madden. Just like a real QB! Especially when I'm versing people in the same room! "4th and long. Punt? No way. Hail Mary!" full of grace the lord is...

yeah we already knew psn plus wouldnt change them. i was hoping normal psn would force them to go free or at least make them lower it to 19.99 a year. psn+ isnt even half as good as xboxlive. they only give rentals and long demos while xbl gives us much better lag free online play and to be able to talk to our friends no matter what games we are playing. soon we will be able to talk on our 360s to people on their phone. psn+ cant touch xbl imo
DEMO. D.E.M.O. They even force devs like Valve to charge for their DLC on top of the Live fee's and Dev's WANTING to release it free. Stop defending such a company.[QUOTE="Gamtrix"][QUOTE="KaoSXFACTOR"]
Except for the fact that they let you demo every arcade game they release. Can you say the same for Sony?
KaoSXFACTOR
Stop defending such a company? Yeah. Sony was such a GREAT company making its users with the PSP GO buy all of their games for their original PSP's all over again because of digital distribution. Don't make it compatible. Just make them buy it again.
Yea, because Sony forced people to buy the GO. Hint: 3000's still available. Learn how to make an argument please. As of now, MS is the only company to charge for p2p online play.[QUOTE="KaoSXFACTOR"][QUOTE="Gamtrix"] DEMO. D.E.M.O. Why would PS+ change MS? Yeah, like MS will quite charging because Sony came out with a discount subscription.djsifer01specialy when ms offers new deals every week. mvc 2 for half price was a sweet deal imo....
That sucks. I was hoping MS would give better "deals of the week" I don't want a 240 MSP discount on a trash arcade game I wouldn't accept for free.
Grawse
Assassin's Creed 2 DLC 50% off. Borderlands DLC 50% off. Dragon Age DLC 50% off. All within the last 30 days. I wasn't aware those were trash arcade games but alrighty.
I will never pay for online gaming. Sorry Microsoft, but this is the single biggest beef I have with you.
Well I never owned wipeout before PSN+ and now I do. I've pretty much made my $50 back in downloadable games and whatever already so I don't mind. But it turns on in the middle of the night and downloades demos, patches and firmware updates for me. Pretty nifty feature:) I'm still waiting for some PSN+ ONLY features to come though. stuff like x game chat, cloud storage, better party system, etc.
you always have something bad to say about the playstation brand dispite having a PSN account you no matter what the subject is, is always on the 360 side just found that interesting.I would hope so, the PSN+ launch and so far evolution has been lame and piss poor.

I prettty much think he has it just to say he has one so he cant be biased.
i don't think you're alone. i personally don't have that much of an issue, as i like XBL as a service, but i certainly understand why some folks would.I will never pay for online gaming. Sorry Microsoft, but this is the single biggest beef I have with you.

Interesting thread ive read arguments from both sides and both sides share good points. One statement i read was that you pay full price for a game and ms charges you extra for the multiplayer part of your game. That is a valid argument cant lie because paying for live is becoming a nuisance to me while psn is free. But in ms defense live is a better service and offers better online play, early demos and early arcade games. I mean castle crashers is just now coming to psn after 2 years and castlevania HOD might follow suit. Im going to stay out of this one because both sides have valid argumentsbigboss5akThe argument of ''having a better online service'' is void. There is no competition on the 360 for online networking. You only have $BL. You don't have a choice on the 360, you don't get to choose between a core online gameplay and and supposedly awesome online gameplay service If I were to believe lemmings. So there is no point in saying; ''XBL has the better service'' because it's the only service available on the 360... M$ never gives you an option...just pony up 50$ or you have no online gameplay at all. That's BAD use of monopoly. People don't care how ''awesome'' XBL is, THEY JUST HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE PRINCIPLE OF PLAYING TO PLAY ONLINE. They don't want to pay extra money. Is that an difficult thing to grasp? And they're right, who in their right minds would pay for online gameplay when about over 9000 other platforms now and in the past have been for free? 360 users that don't want to pay, explore the possibilities with Xlink Kai. It will, if possible and set up right, to play online with the help of your PC. And for free!

I might need to write a thesis on this.
I still don't get the point of PSN+ though.
I've only heard about the perks, but what is the aim of it.
Discounts is a perk.
Freebies (games that mostly require continued subscription from what I hear) is a perk.
Demos, I guess a perk but should be free.
Beta access should be free, since your doing them a favour by playing it.
What else?
For example, Xbox live centres around online play through a unified service and the rest are perks.
I don't mean this in an argumentative way, I just don't get it.

I enjoy and pay for XBL Gold but the bottom line is we have $50 less than the other guy for doing the same exact thing. You can try and spin and slant it any way you want and say how cheap it is but that simple fact still remains. If its no big deal to you then you could just buy a PS3 and burn a $50 bill every year as long as you own the console.

eating out would be the first thing to go, bepending on the person, people who game alot would keep paying $50 for the deals on Live, same reason why people pay for PLUS
PSN was total garbage until it started to copy all of XBL's features. Now it is shaping up to be a better service but still behind XBL in my opinion. I did notice they finally are up to par with XBL as far as game and video content goes. Honestly I have been a PS3 owner for about 3 years but I've only shopped on PSN about 10 times and made about 3 or 4 game purchases. Some of the exclusives like Flower and Wipeout are totally awesome and Live players are missing out on a couple of great exclusives there. But the games on demand on Xbox Live is starting to get some alot of great full games for download. There is just more interesting arcade games on Live I think.
