That's a bad comparison, Killzone 3 is canon to the series even with all the changes, Bad Company isn't canon to BFs before it, still a spinoff.

So baecause the older Battlefield games doesn't have a single player campaign, but the Bad Company series does, it doesn't make the old games related to the new ones AT ALL?

Yeah, the STORIES might not be canon, but they are still within the same series. You just got suckered into Dice's PR bullcrap by saying that Battlefield 3 is the first "TRUE" Battlefield game since BF2. It's nothing but PR to get weak minded people to buy their game, just like they did with the "Free DLC Maps" for BC2.

Again, don't be a tool. If it is made by Dice, has Battlefield in the name, and plays anything at all like a Battlefield game, IT IS A BATTLEFIELD GAME!!!

And if you had kept up with the news, you would know BF3 on PC is even bringing back what the other PC BF games had, like 64 players, huge maps, squad leaders, various vehicles like jets for example and is even bringing back Team Deathmatch from 1942 along with gameplay changes and the class system is like 2142. That's far more than what either Bad Company did.

Since when do we count spinoffs as main games? We count them as games, but not main ones, would you count Killzone Liberation as a main game? Still a game though.

it is WAY more innovative than the current COD franchise. DICE is actually talented enough to not just add a few guns, camo's, facepaint, cross hair colour, etc to their games.

it is a direct sequel to BF2. Yes we know bad company 1/2 came out, but those were made solelywith keeping the console on the mind. And if you want ill count them as a part of the battlefield series, but you must agree that what theyve done with their game is absolutely innovative:

whats innovative? WEll, sound quality, gun realism, Destruction 1.0 - 2.0 (micro), pushing graphics further (on the PC obviously), bullet drop, addition of newer vehicles

You could put a BF3 disc in a MW3 case, and for the most part all but the hardest of hardcore MW3 vs BF3 types would be hard pressed to notice the difference. BF3 looks like a solid shooter and maybe it'll be better than MW3, but the idea that it's some bastion of innovation and fresh design in the face of the CoD franchise is hi-larious.

I'm not going to deny that each games is similar to the previous in some way. (They are) I really don't care though.

A lot of the hate is blind too. Look at the newest CoD elite video. The people in the comment section have no idea what CoD elite is but they still hate on it and post ignorant comments.
