I've been modded many times because of people running to the mods. I've even been suspended because they thought I was making fun of them, pisses me off. Anyways, I couldn't care less about the dudes name, I like when people are modded for insults but other than that, it's all good.

And about Haze, I just said it in good fun. Many of us bought into the hype, the demo changed that quickly though.

I would like to see some variety in the enemies, and also some faces. It seems so "attack of the clones" without faces.

Also, variety in the settings is always a bonus, i can see myself getting bored if every level looks like that

Heres what I said in another thread, and it apply's here again.

Textures: Gears 2

Animation: Killzone 2

Character models: Gears 2

Lighting: Killzone 2

Overall I dont think either one totally beats the other. I cant see how anyone could clearly say Killzone 2 looks better or Gears 2 looks better since they both have something on eachother.

The Character models in Gears has way more detail on them than in Killzone.

At least the Killzone 2 models look "realistic." The texture use in Gears 1 and 2 while pretty, doesn't look as REAL.

Theres way more detail on the Gears characters. Dont get me wrong though, they both look great and they both fit well within their art directions.

This is a great comparison. Both look great, but Killzone 2 looks more realistic. Gears 2 looks like great PC graphics while Killzone 2 looks almost like real life at a glance. But this is the direction and the graphics engines at work. Personally I dont like the UT3 engine and how plastic characters look in those games.

I can't see hoe people can compare the emptyness , horrible textures and tiny levels of Killzone 2, to Gears of War 2 vast landscape, with 100x the detail around, the vastly better textures etc etc

PS3 harwdare is really pathetic, and it 100% shows in those less than mediocre KZ2 pics of low res textures and emptyness

After Gears 2 pics were out, KZ2 visuals became a HUGE fail for me or epic proportions

I see what you are saying, being as that level you can only move 10 feet on a ship. Which should make graphics easier to process since the player wont be running out in the tree's. Sorta like Gears 2 in that seen is a "RAIL SHOOTER" GASP did I just say that?

Are the 360 and PS3 fanboys still arguing over second best? Wii whips them both in sales, and Crysis strength-punches both these games off the island (and hey, you can already play it!).

Instead of playing the graphics or sales card, you should be playing the "immesion" or "gameplay" cards.

Like I said in the other thread with the same pictures, Killzone 2 looks good, so does GeoW 2. Neither are in my "visually appealing" pile, since I love games with brighter colors, a la LittleBigPlanet, Halo 3, Viva Pinata, Super Mario Galaxy, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, BioShock.

However, it does look really good from a technical perspective, and I will be buying both KZ2 and GeoW 2. I just hope KZ2 provides the excitement and playability that early reviews suggest. I just want a fun shooter out of it. Nothing mind blowing, just solid and I will be happy.

is it me or are we starting to see what killzone 2 REALLY looks like.... all the most recent shots look much worse but would definately seem to be in-engine. i guess this happens when you stop using cgi or touching up your shots. thegoldenpoo
