It's gotten easier because you've just gotten better and the game have gotten better. I would hope after playing it for years you would get better.[QUOTE="Wasdie"][QUOTE="organic_machine"]I'll get it day one since CS:S is my favorite MP FPS, despite its near impenitrable difficult curve (I played some last night and played some really talented people. I'm pretty good I think, but I got destroyed even after years of playing). However I'm a bit worried how ramped down the difficulty is. CS 1.6 was really challenging, CS:S was less challenging but still quite amazing, but the sound of this game so far sounds really easy. They keyword is sounds, though. Even if it is much less challenging, it will still be good. But I wonder how much less extreme does it have to be for me to not enjoy it.organic_machine
Well, the hit boxes are bigger in CS:S and the recoild is much less than what it was in CS 1.6. I have recently had some really epic matches of CS:S, but I am always rock bottom when I attempt to play CS 1.6. Granted, Valve always listens to feedback and I am so excited for CS GO.
Also, on a side note, we all still have one "surprise" left from Valve. They said almost a year ago that within a year they will give us thre surprises. One was DOTA, aother is clearly this, I wonder what the third could be...
The hitboxes in CS 1.6 are to big, they actually extend beyond the player. The only real thing that is better/different (depends on how you look at it) is that CS 1.6 has much more recoil. However the amount of recoil was kind of crazy. CSS lowered it and made it more accessible while not making it to easy to master.
