The look awesome... Epic can sure deliver graphics... I wonder if there artists have nightmares all the time. One thing I do find funny is how a lot of lemmings were complaining about KZ2 last week saying it needs more color, yet not one has mentioned that the videos and the screenshots for Gears 2 are awfully brown.EmperorSupreme

anayway.. again. if this is the 360 version, than it's a big improvement imo.. some won't see, but that's their problem. looks great.

When one or two people say it looks like the first game, that's like a compliment because the first game was the reigning console king, and this time around it's even better than ever.

Cole Train alone has more personality than the 2 nathans combined (dude raider and the other one)

The character models and the guns (look at the 2nd pic, the lancer the random cog is holding...) look noticeably better. Overall it recieved a small graphical boost in every aspect, nothing major but you can tell the difference.

But still, combined with destructable environments n more enemies on screen? Pretty good stuff. I'm pleased.

It's a pretty substantial improvement over Gears 1, even the PC version, which I've been playing lately. The lighting model in Gears 2 is a lot more advanced, and it's very obvious to anybody who's played Gears 1 recently.

exactly i'm still confused at what all the exitement is about. especially at a rail type shooting level. this tech was already shown with the UE3.5 demonstration. It will be gears 1 with UE3.5 functionality, and from what was shown at CES and GDC, there are not surprises.

The entire Brumak model is way more detailed than it was in Gears one. In the screens below you can see things like the chains are now 3D instead of painted on illusions. That shot is even the PC version which is supose to be even more sharp and better looking than the 360 version and Gears of war 2 totally destroys it.

And now that we got a High res shot although a tad bit farther distance you can still see the detail Im talking about.
