Considering its one of the few built-for-PC engines, it has the best chance. If it was built for consoles, it would be easier to port. It's not a built for PC engine. Yes, Yes it is. Have they tested to see if it works once in a while with consoles? Yes. That doesn't mean its not a PC engine. Had it been a console engine, they would have simply launched it on consoles soon after PC or even at the same time, if they need to spend upwards of a full year getting a console version out, it means its not a console engine.[QUOTE="110million"][QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"] I've heard it a lot of times. Tells you that Witcher 2 will be crippled on consoles and will still score pretty high because the standards are so low.
Not dev's fault though. Consoles just don't have the horsepower anymore.

That its possible to focus on PC when building an engine, like CD Projeckt has, but unlike what Crytek did.[QUOTE="Espada12"]

KZ3 and UC3 are 720p and the Skyrim shots are PC shots. I am not impressed one bit with those games on consoles. They look good, but nothing out of this world compared to high quality PC games like Crysis.
Consoles are crap now in terms of graphical processing.

At risk of the usual "elitist" shouts I find it really funny that console gamers still believe PS3/360 can match a high end PC graphically. The PC version is the cash crab. They just want PC gamers money so they can release their console action RPG where it's meant to.I fully expect the console version of Witcher 2 to be a quick cash grab. I don't care one bit since the PC version is getting all the attention first.

Cash grab means the verison that gets no support and they don't care about how many sell. You obviously didn't know that.

Fight? Its a beatdown and consoles gettin' bloodied up. Plus it was never confirmed for consoles.

You base your whole argument off a few menus, which have been done in plenty of other PC games. The console version is obviously just for extra cash the PC-exclusive original game sold plenty, they know the sequel will too. You can pre-order it at GOG for $45 now with extras including a free game, but they hate PC gamers :lol:I fully expect the console version of Witcher 2 to be a quick cash grab. They aren't even sure they can make a console version. You see that TBA2011 on Gamespots page for Witcher 2? No news about the console versions has appeared in quite a while.
Its cheaper so they sell more? They could have easily charged 60 bucks and not lost a sale. We all know that when push comes to shove a gamer will cave. They are loyal to their PC fans and want to give them the best experience possible instead of compromising the game for the sake of uniformity across all platforms. Thats why they aren't bothering with consoles at all until they can ship a fully featured PC game.
Console versions will only exist to make more money with less work. Quick hack job and voila. show some "good" console graphics and console gamers will eat it up.
I personally don't even think a console version will ever make it to stores. I'm sure CDProjeckt is expecting to take a lot of features and graphical options out, but not to the point where its completely unrecognizable from its PC counterpart, which is what they will likely have to do since console hardware specs are from the stone age.

Yeah I don't get why hes so bitter, from all the interviews, based of GOG, and all their ideas, CD Projeckt seem like pretty cool guys.
